This was a great talk but on the joint account issue. The smartest thing to do is keep your own separate account and also have a joint account so that all your money isn't tied up in one place.

Marriage is a process, is a journey but in baring your truth, embracing your shame don't forget that as couples you should not forget that you both are coming from different backgrounds. So it takes, communication, patience ,self control to move it.

Nice episode. Loved watching!! Another topic is how to bring up children. We all have different approaches and ideas and often have to meet in the middle. I have been married for 23 years and my children are all grown up and now we are having to try and agree on different aspects of what we can allow them to do and what we can't. Marriage is a continuous school. It never ends

I think, having a joint account doesn't only signifies togetherness but it also installs discipline and keeps you on check as regards future plans and expenditures in your home, but couples could also have an individual accounts that they're both aware of aside the joint account, for little home emergencies .

Why sex was the first topic lol. Anyway I do believe a woman should always have her own bank account with serious funds even if there is a joint account. You never know when it is needed to save you or your husband or family. Secondly never tell everything you do Because it can be used against you. The bible even says not everything your right hand has done your left hand should know. Be wise as a serpent but harmless as a dove. The past is the past unless it affects your current state. Even God forgives and forget. Understanding and compassion longsuffering everything that defines love is needed. When you hit a wall pray and pray hard because living with someone from another mother is hard at times. Marriage is not everything. yes he that findeth a wife finds a good thing. however Paul said I rather that you not be married.... and he goes on to explain why. marriage is not for everyone. It doesn't make them bad or unaccomplished. As Auntie said it's not an accomplishment. Marriage shouldn't define a woman as a woman (Mrs.)

As a Yoruba girl please learn how to speak your native tongue. We Yoruba’s are guilty of not speaking Yoruba to our kids. We seem to think it’s a class thing (being an ‘ASO’) please take it from me , it’s a huge mistake. I live in Canada and I have had to get private Yoruba lessons for my kids because when I was living in Nigeria my wife and I fell into the same trap of not speaking Yoruba to our kids. The Chinese, Indians , native Americans, other Africans et al ensure that their kids can speak their native tongue except YORUBAS! Did that lady say you should learn how to make love through KZbin? Having a joint account does not work, decide what the husband has to take care of and what the wife is responsible for. If my wife wants to buy lipstick I don’t want to know about it, but if she does not buy groceries , yawa go Dey! Is that sisi yemi the you tuber and food connoisseur?

Thank you David. I absolutely agree with you. Other nationalities here in Australia speak their native language. Nigerians tends to associate English proficiency and phonetics with intelligence. When i get married, Yoruba will be the language of interaction in my home.

Please for the love of all that is good STOP GENERALIZING AFRICAN MOTHERS. My Mum hasn’t ONCE not even subtly attempted to tell me go and marry. I roll my eyes every time I watch videos as such where educated African women are discussing about marriage because they always make it seem as if marriage is every mother’s greatest desire for her child (ren). No it isn’t and the persistent assumption is getting ridiculous at this point. There are some African women who value education and good careers for their daughters over marriage. Why do shows like this never talk about such women? Or is it a sin for an African woman to value having a career over being a Mrs.? Yes my mother is married to my father for the nosey youtube comments analysts.

You know it can depend on age too. I'm sure u are far less than 30. Won't u be stunned if u still live in ur house at age 30 & ur mum who probably has never seen you or heard u go on a date does not seek to find out if u have anyone in your life? I think any mother would be concerned given the instance except she's nonchalant about such matters
