I'm watching right now and got to the part where you are checking the print and said you saw a couple tiny lines....running low on printer ink. Here is a tip and idk if you will cover or speak on it but you can always use a black Sharpe/marker to go over any spots that need to be darkened up or filled in. You can actually use a Sharpe and trace a design onto the film if you need/want to. Thank you for the video. I'm starting my KZbin channel next week and just got my kit! I'm sooooo excited! If you dont mind I'd like to use the tip you gave from Eddi about the film and how to tell the emulsion side, I was looking at that and wondered myself so thank you! I'll be sure to mention you and your channel! I've seen a few of your videos, they are great! Thx again!

Thank you for sharing which way the ink print in the ink jet printer. I have always stalled for the longest to figure out how to correctly place the paper every time, lol. So the printer don't print top but bottom up:) geesh!

Can you show a video how to do on the cricut and then print on the paper or does it have to print from the inkjet?
@MayhemBling3 жыл бұрын
I have seen that you can cut vinyl with your cutting machine and then put that on the sheet that you would print on and then use that to make your stencil. I will try it!!!

I believe they do recommend to use a foam brush like you have there for hard surfaces. Your project came out very nice tho.

I'm so glad you put that alert on there, whewwww! I see your heat press....do you mind telling me where you got it, how much it was, how long you have had it, and does it work well?
@MayhemBling4 жыл бұрын
I ordered it from Amazon. It is one of the 5 in 1 so it will actually do cups and plates and hats as well. I don't remember what brand it is but I have had it over two years and it has been awesome!

Question for you with my coming purchase: Can you just simply hand-draw items??? Do they have to be printed on a printer or ink-jet printer??? I'm a 'hand draw' artist type......Can it just be 'straight' regular drawing or somehow 'reversed'???
@MayhemBling3 жыл бұрын
Good question Jeanne!! I am not sure if hand drawing would work...but it might. I do know that if the printed artwork is not dark enough the stencil won't wash out good. You can double check with the experts at Ikonart to be sure. They are wonderful and know all of the tips and tricks!!!
@janedarc77313 жыл бұрын
I’m looking into buying this kit as well and have checked out several YT videos on the subject... I saw on another channel that you can use your hand drawn creations by scanning them into your computer, then print it and follow the rest of the directions. If it’s not dark enough you could probably tweak that on your computer before printing. Hope this helps😊

Do prefer this method to your heat press?

So basically you have to put the emotion side face down so when the printer flips it to print the emotion side comes out face up..
@MayhemBling2 жыл бұрын
It depends on how your printer feeds your paper as to which side you print on.
@HECTORJABUNDISJR2 жыл бұрын
@@MayhemBling thank you. But what I have to put the shiny side face down so it can go through the printer or in reverse??
@MayhemBling2 жыл бұрын
@@HECTORJABUNDISJR If you are not sure what side of the paper your printer prints on..make a mark on a piece of paper and print something. Remember how you loaded the paper with the mark. That is a trick I use to figure how how to load my printer. I hope that helps.

No...just clean it when you are finished.

How long did it take to rinse out the stencil?
@MayhemBling2 жыл бұрын
The first stencil took about 20 minutes but since then I learned that you need a pretty good sprayer but also if you will soak the whole stencil in luke warm water for a few minutes before rinsing it goes alot faster!

**as for the power switch, or lack there of.....I think I'll do a tutorial on how to install a inline on/off switch (toggle switch). If you do not want to do that the next best thing would be a surge protector (power strips do not have a surge protector built in therefore no power switch). It has a on/off switch, you can use bracket w/screws, double sided gorilla tape, etc to adhere it underneath, on the side, or on top of your table.
