Thank you for the great tutorial! I may have missed this, but what did you do with the extra stencil film from the chicken? Did you cut just the size you needed or did you leave it whole? Can you expose the film more than once if you don't use the whole thing at one time?

I haven’t tried chalk couture yet but I think ikonart is awesome. Do you know how many uses you can get out of one stencil?

This is the info I got off there website : There are a number of factors that affect how long a stencil will last. These include storage, how you wash out the film, what type of paints you use, etc. We generally state that you can reuse a stencil up to 10 times before the details on the stencil will start to break down. ( I think as long as you clean them asap and care for them the best you can you can probable get more then 10 uses) hope this helps

Using a sponge or stippling brush would be easier to apply the paint and will control the application amounts much easier.

Hi Crystal . I like this idea to make our own stencils, I was waiting for you to make your video so I can buy mine. I have couple of questions : 1- The blue light, is safe to use it over and over? 2.- How many blue plastic sheets are in the bag? 3.- when you peel the clear plastic, the blue has some stickiness so is easier to place it on the board? , .4.- The stencils are good for any surface? .5.- How to storage your stencils? . I am sorry for to many questions. Excellent Tutorial , like always you are super great with your explanations.

These are all great question and I'm so glad you asked I have aked IKONART to answer the question about the UV LED light as my research shows mixed answers ( Hope for answers ASAP) #2 you get 5 of the blue sheets #3 yes it has a light tack you can use over and over again if to sticky I would stick it to a towel a few times. #4 yes good for any surface #5 you store them back on there clear sheet and I stuck mine in a clear zip lock back you could sort by theme or holiday. I even saved my print outs in a separate ziplock as I bet we can reuse them. and Thank you so much

Hello Adriana!! The UV LED Light included in the IKONART Custom Stencil Kit is essentially the same as a black light that is sold for home decor, party decorations and aquariums. It is safe for in-home use and repeated use when used according to the instructions. Our product is recommended for ages 12 and up. Do not look or stare directly into the UV Light. We do not recommend the light for people who are highly sensitive to UV light. The light will last over 50,000 hours. You can turn the light on or off by plugging the cord in or out, however we recommend plugging the light into an outlet power strip and using the on/off switch on the power strip. Hope that helps and we can't wait for you to get your kit!
