You do realize that some of these same things has happened in the Euros, the Copa, and Asian Cup among others. AFCON actually is a competitive, entertaining tournament that is very unpredictable. Just about all of the teams in this "2023" tournament are at least good, and on any given day the supposed favorites can lose to any team...just ask 🇲🇦 and 🇸🇳. Most importantly, VAR at this tournament has generally been spot on. This iteration of AFCON isn't perfect, but it certainly is a legitimate competition.

For example, Havertz gets criticized a lot for his clumsy play, but nobody ever condemns the EPL bcos of the actions of just a few players. Despite the fact that AFCON has had really quality matches, the referees and var have been better than most tournaments as well. All that gets ignored, you people pick out only a few bad examples and use it as a representative of the whole thing. Makes no sense at all.
