Like if you go to a Mayan area in Mexico that gets lots of tourists they now set up Day of the Dead booths directly infront of a cathedral where they play a record of wolfs howling and witches laughing non stop on repeat. The last time I encountered this two Mayan women were sitting down saying in Spanish to each other "this non sense was never here before".

Disney should have trademarked Day of the Dead since it's now turned into a ridiculous event. The costumes and decorations keep getting more and more kitsch and spreading to areas of Mexico that never celebrated it to begin with.

That way when I witness this event I can just go "o, it's a Disney event of fairytales and magic" instead of people actually believing it's authentic and real.

As a Latino I'm ashamed of this. This is racist, the kind of thing we throw off about, but its ok because its about another race. We don't like when its done to us, so that makes it ok to do to others? Your parents really dropped the ball when it came to teaching you honor, and integrity.

I do not get your comment , Latin American we are NOT a race never have been one...niether re the US they are not one race. Moreover the idea of "Race" is outdated and completly debunked, modern humans are not classified by "Race" and this term "race" is not synonymous with ethnicity. And to add more Latin Americans are Not one Ethnicity , there are 4 Major ethnical groups and moreover 33 nations with their distinct ethnicity.
