Ok it was very interesting when this took flight, but the truly remarkable part was when Nature itself (her-himself?) began to take umbrage. That means that it not only looks real to us, but to Nature too. Great job on this! Very nice to see this in flight. Thanks

This is a Sean Kinkade design. Notice the SK cut out of the body design. Sean passed away in a fatal car accident 3 years ago. RIP Sean. May you soar with the angels. ❤

Wow I have to agree, rather cool! Wouldn't think it would fly as well as it did but wow... Would love to see it through an fpv perspective

Wow...thats brilliant. How many early flight inventors tried to replicate something just like that.

That's awesome! Where I live, we have a lot of red-tailed hawks - it would be interesting to see what kind of reaction this would get from them. I've seen them take an interest in my Phantom a few times.

That is a Kinkade model.. probably a Park Hawk judging by the size. I have a Kinkade Slow Parrot (older, larger model) and these things absolutely love to fly. With the lack of a vertical stabilizer they do tend to have a mind of their own and will often make a circle or two as in this video, all while you are commanding a turn in the opposite direction. I have the exact same reaction from other birds on every flight! Love it!
@ColinMill12 жыл бұрын
I too have a slow parrot from about 2004 and while I expected the local buzzard population to check it out I didn't expect the reaction from the horses in a field a couple of hundred yards away - they were really spooked the first few times I flew it. Must blow the dust off it and get it flying again.

I am the one who built the wing and tail for that Slow Hawk!! It is definitely on of my husbands birds. I can list this man's address and e-mail as proof he bought it from HobbyTechnik/FlappingFlight which was my husband's company!!!! The SH costs $309 the accessory pkg he also bought was $179 plus he paid international shipping for both packages! I will be taking over my husbands business and re-opening hopefully by the end of summer. Sean was killed on February 23, 2013.
