Hi there! I totally resonate with this. I got PRK done 3 weeks ago and even though my right eye is perfect, and left eye is better but I still have blurry vision. I’m totally devastated because not only do I work in front of a computer but I have started my graduate program where I have to read like 90 percent of the time. The weird thing with me is that every time I put eye drops my vision in both eyes is perfect, but then the left eye regresses. I called my doctor for advice, hopefully your eyes have improved. I had PRK June 2018 and I was corrected from -7.50 to 20/20. I’m not sure of your age but keep in mind the surgery doesn’t give you hyperopia (farsightedness) per se. It simply corrects you to 20/20 what many people have. Then as we age the inside lens (not the cornea) begins to harden and become less clear which causes our ability to focus on close or far objects to become difficult. Best of luck to you 👍🏻

I had prk surgery October 19 th 2019. It’s 4 months and one week. My doctor advised me from the early follow ups since prk, to continue using the lubricated drops until our next appointment in May. 6-8 times a day, I still go with 8. It’s the best thing you can do for your eyes, it helps them heal more quickly. People should not judge themselves if they need the drops or not. Good luck!

I’m getting a PRK. The ophthalmologist told me the risks and can’t guarantee 20/20 vision but they can get it close. They also told me about the healing period. It can be painful, haloes, may need readers, full vision recovery can take anywhere between a month and a year.

Sounds like you had corneal haze from the prk. It usally heals but takes some months to heal.

Refresh Celluvisc gel drops working better for me so far than the Refresh Plus drops. I still use both almost every hour as I am only into 10 days of recovery from PRK. Vision is blurry so we will see how it heals. Refrigerate the drops too.

Prk surgery in 2018 . My vision was -300 -1.25 050 . Because of my astigmatism I wanted to correct my vision . Also wanted to see better at night and early morning .I was told that there was 1% chance of an complications. Yet there was a chance very small chance for anyone to develop hazing and keratoconus. I also had dry eyes to begin with. Cornea is pretty thin also but within the amount to safely proceed . I can't remember correctly but I had about 475 _500 microns of cornea for the surgery. The dry eye and corneas the doctor told me they were fine btw. So I was assured and decided to get the surgery. I was told I would see in 5-7 days . I couldn't see better then for three weeks. 1 and a half months in I could see finally 20/80 . Not what I thought it would be . My eyes are so dry I sleep in goggles . I hold onto drops in my sleep. If not my eyes stick and feel like they rip open . Another doctor told me this was cornea erosion from lasik. I see 3d glares starburst. My astigmatism is back and so are my glasses. 20/100. Both eyes but now need reading glasses too. My eyes are super red and it never went away. I've used all of the drops to the point of becoming allergic to them. .its embarrassing to go out. My quality of life was definitely affected

yo! I just got my lasik surgery 4 days ago and have the exact same issue as you! Same eye as well, my left eye is perfectly fine, right eye is blurry and seeing double. I had my trans prk 2 months 15 days ago and facing various problems. My left eye is very clear and my right eye is blurry. My night vision is very poor, can't recognise a person standing 15 feets away. I'm seeing Glare and Starburst and it's almost impossible to drive at night(I'm using anti - glare glasses as of now ) . The doctor has told me to wait because I'm still in a healing stage. I would suggest everyone to go with lasik or contuera. I don't feel prk is a safe procedure because the recovery is very slow and comes with many side effects.

@@are2842 it's been over 3 months now. I have blurry vision in my right eye(myopia). Night vision is even worse, all I see is glare and Starburst unable to drive at night at all . I have very hazy vision at night. Wish I had gone with femto lasik. The doctor has told me that I'm not eligible for re - correction because of very thin cornea. I will wait for 6 months and then go back to glasses I suppose.

@@bhavanashree75 Hey so I had to get PRK a second time, because the first time didn't quite do it, which was unfortunate but I was able to accept it and focus on the process again. So I got the second one back in January and as of right now, I would say I'm pretty happy with the results. ALTHOUGH my astigmatism comes back at night and I start seeing double at night, which I'm a little concerned about. But during the day my eye sight is like 90% great, but not perfect for sure. bro the blurry vision is not due to surgery, you seem to have exophoria, your eyes are not centred, they both are looking at different locations, i would extremely strongly reccomend you to see a doctor and ask for exphoria check. hope best.

Dude wtf. I literally watched this video and all the bad videos but like an idiot I somehow convinced myself to get it anyway and now I’m in the same boat as you. If anyone is considering getting any form of laser eye surgery please use that money for a vacation or shopping. It is not worth it. I was comparing prk to lasik too much and everyone saying don’t get lasik it’s bad. So I was like okay as long as I don’t get lasik I’m good. Boy was I wrong. While I could see decent. My left eye sees great my right is still blurry but I could make out what things say. I now have dry eyes and I never had them before ever. Never put a drop in my eye ever in my life and now I have to everyday. Dry eye is not as simple as putting drops in. Your eyes feel like shit all the time especially at night and when you sleep and have to wake up. I thought it was just drops so I took the risk. It fucking sucks. I miss not having to think about my eyes. And I know some asshole will comment below and say they got it done and it’s the best thing ever. Do not listen to them. You do not know how your eyes will react. It’s not worth the risk. Appreciate your wonderful functioning eyes.

I have -3.25 myopia in both eyes so it just sucks having to wearing classes.
