Love your video. Really relaxed and informative. We went to Almuñecar in '22 and '23...if I won the lottery tonight I'd buy an apt there tomorrow ! Excellent video. 😎

Hi, i noticed you have your dog with you everywhere you go. Is Alumnecar a good place for a dog? I'm thinking of relocating there from New Zealand next year and i am bringing my dog with me. He loves beaches and swimming. Would you suggest this place? Thanks again for your fantastic videos!!

Almuñecar is a lovely place and there are some dog parks where you can train aguility too. It's not allowed to bring dogs on the beach in the summer in Spain except for dedicated dog beaches. The closest one is about 20-25 drive away in Motril. But Almuñecar is also pretty close to Cabo de Gata Natural Park in Almeria where there are heaps of remote beaches where people bring their dogs and they're not so crowded in summer. But that's easily a 2-hour's drive from Almuñecar. There are also beautiful river hiking opportunities nearby where you can take your dog, like Rio Verde in Otívar, but it all comes down to having a car. With a car, it's easy to go swimming with your dog, but without it, it can be a bit of a pain in summer due to strict regulations on city beaches.

You make great videos and I love your pleasant, happy, engaging style. So, my comment is going to be extremely odd from that perspective but, I seek information. I'm American and, not out to bash the British as a people. British tourists ruined my trip to Málaga with all the English and everything that goes with it. I actually get sick when I see English menus in Spain now and since I´m moving there, and it must be the Mediterranean coast, do you have a recommendation where I might find the LEAST amount of English spoken? I´m a Spanish student who has come to hate English and don’t want to hear it, deal with it or put up with the stereotypes which accompany it. I´m going to Spain to become Spanish. Any ideas where I might be happiest on the Med in Spain?

Hey! First of all, thank you for enjoying our content! If you're looking for authentic Spanish without a wealth of tourists, Costa del Sol is likely one of the last places you wanna be since a lot of northern European and British have bought property and are either living there full time as expats or part time. Costa Tropical or Costa de Almeria is a lot better, thoguh you won't free yourself completely from expats and tourists (the summer months being the worst) unless you head inland (villages in Sierras Subbeticas or in Jaen, maybe even Huelva and Seville). Costa de la Luz (Cadiz) is also better, but that's on the Atlantic coast. I really enjoy Cabo de Gata in Almeria, not a big fan of Almeria city, but Roquetas de Mar is great and tbh, we didn't see many foreign tourists even in August when we went last year. I would start looking around and checking out places outside of Costa del Sol and see what you like. But Malaga's coast is by far the most crowded place in Andalucia as many people from northern countries only come to get cheap booze and party at the cost of the locals.

@@brainybackpackers5673 Thank you Thank you Thank you for this information!! A picture is beginning to clearly form and thus, I´m able to find peace in the matter. Thank you for your contribution to it. Love the videos! Love me some Northern Europeans! THOSE are not the problem.
