In this video, we do all the best things to do in Panama City, Panama. We saw the Panama Canal and explored Casco Viejo, and even saw a sloth in Panama! Most everything was closed, but we had a great guide with Barefoot Panama (www.barefootpanama.com/) and learned so much!!

VIVA PANAMA....My country of birth and raised in the former Canal Zone for the first 18 years of my life. I remember that during Christmas, my elementary school named Balboa Elementary School, would put liquid soap detergent in the Goethals Memorial and it would get all sudsy and bubbly. We made believe that it was SNOW! I used to run up and down those Administration Building stairs when I was in training for my tennis; my Dad (rip) with a stopwatch at the bottom of the steps. Such wonderful memories. Thanks guys, and keep up the good videos. Good keep y'all safe from this COVID19 that has turned the entire world upside down.

Glenn, thank you so much for sharing those memories, they were amazing and brought a smile to both of our faces 😊 I grew up with snow, but Alicia did not. She shares your enthusiasm for snow every time she sees it ❄️ And your dad sounds like a great man. I grew up playing basketball and understand what it means to have them right by your side while you are training. My dads version of the stop watch was draining hook shots on me time and time again until I learned to defend it. Thank you again for taking time to leave us a comment. We loved Panama and look forward to returning again in the future to see more of your beautiful country 🇵🇦

Hi guys, I am a Panamanian girl. I am really grateful that you have chosen this small land to visit, despite the fact that the pandemic devastated, and left damage for us Panamanians, little by little we will try to fight and move forward with the help of God. Thank you again for visiting us and I hope you had a good time here, greetings from Panama Oeste.🇵🇦💕

Hi Cgan, what is the current restrictions like in Panama? I am hoping to visit soon and hope to be able to enjoy the city life
@cgan6838
@cgan6838 2 жыл бұрын
@@nickytoco Hi, sorry for replying late. The restrictions by the government for now is only the use of mandatory masks, and if you are going to use public transport (metro bus or the subway) you need a careta. To commercial establishments, it is also the same, only mask careta is not necessary. the restrictions are only to avoid being in a place with too many people in a closed environment, generally places with an exaggerated number of people, without respecting the distance and without the mask. for now just that. If you come I would like to know your experience. greetings 💗

Nice video. Virtually everything open and more or less normal now. You have to pre-book some places (such as the Miraflores Locks Visitor Centre and Parque Metropolitano). In fact, if it weren't for the masks you might not realise the situation. Most, if not all, restaurants etc are open now. There are a few things not back to normal (like the daily passenger train that runs alongside the Canal), but the dry "summer" season starts next month and the cruise liners have started coming back (the first big one docked this week), so hopefully that will help get things back to even more like normal

Hi Ray 👋 Thank you for sharing this information, we are so excited to hear that Panama is getting back to normal. While we were limited on what we could see when we were there, we saw enough to know we really enjoyed Panama and look forward to returning on a future trip 🇵🇦✈️🧳

We are looking to visit Panama next January with my family (5adults) so i start making some researches and i find your video who look amazing. But in another way, i saw a lot of post saying Panama is NOT safe!! Can you help me with this! Is it safe to travel and visit Panama? Where is the good and Bad place.

Hi Chantal 👋 Thank you so much for watching our video, we are glad you found it helpful 😊 We really enjoyed our time in Panama City and plan to return again when we can. As far as our experience is concerned, we felt safe. We stayed in the Casco Viejo area which is beautiful, rich in history, and extremely walkable with tons of restaurants and shopping around. Since the Royal Palace is located in Casco Viejo, there is a lot of police assigned to the area. There were traffic police, tourist police, and even some military presence around the Royal Palace. And if you have any concerns about safety, hiring local guides or booking tours to explore the area is always a great way to go. We hope this helps and if you do end up traveling to Panama, we hope you and your family enjoy your time there 🇵🇦 ✈️ 🧳

Hi guys, great videos! What is the current situation in Panama on the ground? Does it make sense to enter there? Can you travel the whole country and see everything? What is the situation in Costa Rica regarding restrictions in the country? I am planning a backpacking trip soon. Have a good trip! Thank you and best regards from Germany, Marius

Marius - Thank you for watching our videos, we really appreciate it 🙌 We are so excited to hear you are planning a backpacking trip 🎒✈️ It has been a bit since we were in Panama or Costa Rica, and travel restrictions depend on the country you are coming from. We have heard their incidence rates have been a bit up and down in these countries so things could change between now and your trip, but here goes: Costa Rica - when we went to Costa Rica, we had to fill out a health form, provide the hotel we were staying at, have a return flight booked, and a purchase specialized insurance (we purchased this through IMG, but have heard SafetyWing is another option). At the time, we did not have to take a test to enter the country, but that could change. When we were there, there weren't any movement restrictions, curfews, or lockdowns. Most places we visited, we had all to ourselves. It was one of the most amazing experiences since we started traveling and the most beautiful country to explore. Panama - Panama was a bit different when we were there. While we were allowed to enter, we had to fill out a health form, book an outbound flight, and provide a negative test which we took at the airport upon arrival. At the time, there weren't many attractions open and there were curfews in place and weekend lockdowns. The weekend lockdowns lifted the weekend after we left. I think Panama has since opened a bit more, but of course, it is subject to change based on their case numbers. Thank you again for reaching out. Germany is somewhere we really want to travel to. We hope this information helps, but let us know if you have any questions while you are planning your trip. - Nate & Alicia

Thank you for watching M Z, we appreciate it 🙌The company we took the tour with was Barefoot Panama and the owner's name is Kevin. You can book a tour via their email at kevin@barefootpanama.com. Our drivers name was Ganzo and hopefully you can request him. He was great 👍When we were there, most restaurants were open subject to any curfews or weekend lockdowns. I don't know if there are any curfews or weekend lockdowns there right now, or if there will be any when you travel there, but we found the best way to get that information is to talk to someone at a local restaurant or coffee shop. i hope this helps and I hope you have an amazing time in Panama 😊🧳✈️
