Things to do with a Weekend Getaway to Silver Lake Sand Dunes in Mears, Michigan: VLOG

Join us as we visit Mears, Michigan.. Silver Lake Sand Dunes to be exact!
In this video we take you on a road trip (roughly 4-5 hour drive from Chicago, Illinois) to Mears, MI. We stayed at the Dunes Waterfront Resort (the only hotel facing Silver Lake and the dunes) .. not to mention, this hotel was near all the major attractions.

You can obviously take your own car (no real restrictions here) but you'll be responsible for getting pulled out of the sand if you get stuck
IF you're not planning to take your own car or rent one, you can still enjoy the dunes by checking out Mac Wood's Dune Rides. A 40-45 min tour of the dunes giving you some thrills as you go up and down various hills. During the tour they do stop by the water for 5-10 minutes to allow you to enjoy the scenery and sand.

We love the Silver Lake dunes - SO much fun! Mac Woods is so fun for families and kids. Another great spot for families that's not too far is Lewis Adventures and a trip to the Country Dairy Farm (store) - they have food but the best ice cream, some farm animals and a small play area for kids!

Hello, Please share the location of that off road in woods ? In your video it shows no road on GPS. Where did you get in ?

I tried searching and figuring out where we went but can’t find the road on gps .. it’s near silver lake and by the light house (that’s all I recall)
