We still prefer the Fiesta and Focus ST, but that Explorer was pretty serious, J High. Lots o' power and great brakes!

Turbos allow engines to "spool up" quicker, increase efficiency, improve drivability, allow safer/ quicker overtaking, engines work better at altitude, last until high mileage if you look after them.. they should be on all internal combustion engines 😉

Good review! Battery packs should always be outside the shell/ passenger compartment with a good firewall, purely for fire protection they should have overheat/ fire warning sensors aswelll, not sure if next to nearside exit is a good idea though. Also Ford could use newer compliant diesel engines for these larger vehicles. The Ford 180HP 2Litre turbodiesel 4cyl gives 400NM torque at only 2000rpm with one turbo and strong torque 360NM from only 1500rpm would pull better than ecoboost. For this size vehicle a 2.5 litre turbodiesel would give a better amount of torque, and still better mpg. As proven by BMW and if space for a 6 cyl diesel permitted, torque would increase further and mpg would still be close to a torquey 4 pot 2 litre.
