I liked this a lot. I like that Bugget is back in the rotation. He's good folk, and the easy style between the two of you, with the 20 years of friendship, shows through the camera, makes for great, fun video. I also like looking through other people's stuff. There, I said it.

Cool vid Nutn. Fun to see the truck load out. There's so much variety in what you can take in a "car camping" trip, so it's cool to see how you like to do your load out. Good to see Bugetnuster participating in the project again. Rock on.

Big Agnes is nice too. Stresses are needed in winter camping as you guys now, it tends to change the mindset of survivalist of what it could be, and the evolution you mentioned in order to adapt is looked over so much. Very nice, people need prodding in winter excursions like this.

Matech BUIS...Great back-up rear! Very cost effective, and well made. Overtime, you can get the lock to fail from extreme misuse. No big deal, it just won't lock down.

I like to throw a grabber reusable space blanket on the bottom of the tent with the reflective side facing up. Done like that, it acts as a barrier between the cold ground and reflects the heat back up. On top of it goes everything including the sleeping bag and pad. They are 5 by 7 in size so they fit fairly well in a tent. Just think of it as a shiny rug.

My family also uses a Basecamp 6 for car camping. Had it a few years. I knew it was a good design when I had to assemble it by myself in the dark, while it was pouring rain. Took only 15 minutes and my family watched from inside the mini-van.

I'm spending the winter sleeping in a Gunnison Pro 3.1 - It's not a winter tent, but the fly is sufficient and so far the poles have only twisted a little in a heavy snow - nothing broken. All I need to do was shake it off and everything reformed nicely. That tent seems pretty tall in comparison to the Gunnison - and a few inches less height makes a huge difference in how my heat it holds.

Adhesive backed carpet tile (cut to fit) as an interior liner for your camera box should eliminate most of the audio echo. Separate your ammo 'lots' with zip-lock bags inside the plastic containers. That will also allow you to mark the date of the ammo to use the oldest first.

Another good, important, and informative video. Thanks bugget and nutn. I have been eyeing an Eberly pack since the video. I am most definitely getting the Dragonfly, yes it is heavier, but it is a multi method pack, which is what I want. One thing I am walking away with is adding more layers to my winter sleeping bag. I have a -20F Kelty Mistral. I think adding a -10 bag on top of that is a great move and great idea!
