Millennial here. Can confirm we had pillow forts too. We’d drag a box TV somewhere inside with an extension cable and would play video games all day. We used chairs as a base with blankets to form walls and the roof. It was epic times! Sucked our handhelds didn’t have backlights so playing video games on the bus in the dark mornings was difficult! Gen Z and later will never know the struggle for school bus entertainment!

Running up the stairs on all fours is definitely something I did as a kid, same with the building swords out of markers and trying to fight with them. I never stabbed my eraser with a pencil, but I definitely used to build weird shit out of school supplies. I'd make castles and walls and shit out of erasers and binders and things like that, or put a ruler under the pocket clip of a pen and pretend it was an airplane. Lunch trading was big for me too, exchanging one pack of fruit snacks for some Oreos from another kid or some shit like that.

Fr, in the first grade (we’re almost 2nd graders) we do anything but schoolwork, it’s fun. We stack up markers and make ‘em look like swords, we would lay down during storytime since our teacher allows us to do that, we put glue on our hands to peel it off, or to try and climb the walls, Me and the girls do gymnastics at the most random times, like during the time we’re supposed to be doing iready or reading to ourselves lol And at recess, we always try and find a way to construct with sticks, logs or whatever we can find. And sometimes even dirt! Me and the girls pretend to be maids cooking with leaves and dirt. Still at recess, we try and find a way to parkour in real life. At gym we parkour too with the equipment! And we build DIRT CASTLES we alternate a lot. We do stuff like Sandcastles - Dirtcastles Wood houses- STICK houses Oven - UNDERNEATH THE STONE BENCHES THAT ARE TOO HOT TO SIT ON HERE IN THE SOUTH In school for the thanksgiving party, we built HOUSES out of PRETZEL STICKS! (And we were allowed to eat some as long as we didn’t eat all of them! And we still do the tiny pencil thing And when we were in the playground, yeah we did also feel like we were on the top of the world We do the candle sticks all the time. So this is why I always loved school I’m not a nerd ok? But wait….. there’s more to it. The cafeteria OH MY GAWD like all you be hearing is “eat it!” “eat it!” Like kids chanting eat it and we be makin some weird food combos like one time I made something and this is how I made it, so first you take some strawberry yogurt, pore skim milk into it, then take the dried cranberries and dip em’ into the yogurt. I did it with my friend and we felt like we were eatin Tostitos with cheese dip 😂 Trust me, I know it sounds disgusting but it’s actually really tasty 😋 At recess, we do anything to entertain ourselves, like today we played a game where we were walking around the courtyard exploring nature. It was basically like a nature museum tour, get the gist? We were also experimenting like making flower oil. Shoutout to Leah, Ava and Olivia. 👏👏🏻👏🏼👏🏽👏🏾👏🏿

I never had to pretend I was sick or do things to miss a school day. My mom was actually quite supportive. when I told her I didn't want to go to school she would always say "Are you sure?" then , "ok", and leave me on bed. It is one of the things that I am most grateful to my mother for. Despite having that freedom, I never misused that option to be irresponsible or missing a lot of days because I knew that if I broke trust with my mom those instances would cease to exist and when I REALLY needed to stay at home I wouldn't be able to do it.

Hey, Monster's Inc was what made me afraid of monsters when I was little. It honestly ruined sleeping for me for years, 'cause i was freaked out by the first scene, whixh there's a moment in that to this day is kinda terrifying, and I'm fifteen. I didn’t do anything to try to skip school. I just expected my fate. Sometimes I would go on vacation and skip school, but I didn’t try to do that. Now I like school, I like to learn! I’m not a nerd, just leaning is interesting for me! School now, I would never want to skip! One of the bad things about my school tho is I have a friend who is a girl, and don’t think of this the wrong way, she’s just a friend nothing more, but kids in my class are like: “you guys love each other!” or: “you guys are boyfriend and girlfriend!” Like I just want them to stop it’s annoying. I think there are kids (girls) in my class that have a crush on me. (not her) that friend that is a girl is named Ana, she also doesn’t like it when the class says we’re together. That’s it for my so far from school story for now. I’ll keep you updated tho, I’ll put more stories as comments in some of your other vids!
