The original floppy discs, that your parents or grandparents used, were actually very thin, and fragile plastic, and when you flapped your hand, they would flex and bend. (We often used them as fans, on hot days 🤭) They were stored in paper sleeves and organized in a rigid plastic container. If you bent them, you were screwed!!!! 😩

Came here to say this. Not only were the original floppy disks thinner, but they were bigger (in the other two dimensions) making them quite floppy. The name "floppy" for the newer, more rigid ones was just a hold over from that.

yeah those "tables" in the pizza box are still used to this day but just 3 pronged, no "table" on top of it. It's used for deep dish pizzas and it's a box support (literally what they're called) and it would be used to create space between the pizza and the lid of the box so it didn't get squished, especially if other items like breadsticks or something ended up on top of that box.

Yeah, a lot of people I knew confused that version of bloody knuckles with 5 finger .....(fillet? frenzy? ugh smth, cant remember), where you lay your hand down flat and stab between your fingers with something sharp (a knife on tv, but a pen or pencil for us in reality), **and also** the game where you and a friend take turns sticking your hands out palm to palm and trying to slap each others hands before you pull them away. So when someone said "wanna play bloody knuckles?" your first question had to be "what kind?"
