For postpartum hair loss I used RICE WATER! It saved me 💜 If you don’t know what rice water is, it’s literally rather water that is left before when you wash rice. So please use organic rice (you can use anytime of rice but brown rice and black rice seem to work best in my opinion). I rinse off my rice 3 times and on the 3rd time I keep the rice in for about 6 hours to a day. I separate the rice and spray my hair with the water. I leave the water in but you can rinse it off after about 30min to an hour. My hair started growing within a week.

I worked in the hair-loss industry for some time. This is definitely a thing that no one wants to talk about. Traction Alopecia ( hair loss due to repetitive or prolonged tension on the scalp) is soooo common. There are a few things you can do. 1. Biotin supplement. 2. Minoxidil 2% as the 5% is for men. 3. I’m not a mom, but as a black woman, I go to a good hairdresser who takes cares of me. I don’t think new moms should put their hair in a bun for a good while. Stick to styles that are less stressful on your hair. I get pressed every other month ( no it doesn’t damage your hair if not done everyday) and doing something like a press or something low maintenance doesn’t stress out your hair. Buns tug on your edges.

Hair loss can also happen 2-3 months after a person is sick. While you're sick, your body stops all non-critical functions (such as regular hair sheding) to fight the sickness. Once the person gets better, hair sheding resumes and is extra intense to make up for the pause. The extra heavy sheding can last 2-6 months. It can be slowed down by taking supplements subscribed by a doctor. The good news is that, in most cases, the hair grows back once the extra heavy sheding stops. Don't panic.

As you AGE your hair thins! Just the facts. Frequent washing is BAD. Daily washing is really bad. There are thing you can do. Stop washing your hair daily. Yes you will grease out. Youve conditioned your body to try and moisturize your dry hair. You keep washing out the oil. It takes a few months. Learn that a bun can be your friend during this transition. But less frequent washing improves hair texture and health. It took me 4 or 5 months to finally stop the daily hair washing. But now at 60, my hair has never bern this long or this healthy. My hair wouldnt grow. I always admired long hair but, mine just wouldnt. I stopped daily washing...its at my butt now. Yea im a 60 year old with butt length hair and i LOVE It.
