Thank you so much for sharing your journey! I am a law student from HKU and it has been really stressful to secure vacation schemes and training contracts. It is motivating to know that you could still land a promising career at international firms without taking the traditional path (ie via vac schemes). Love your content!

Hey guys! I just wanted to say that I love your channel and what you do. I'm actually a PhD student studying medicine here in HK, and as a hobby, I'm also a personal trainer. I couldn't help but notice that Em seems to have high and low shoulders, which could be because of her regular routine. So, I think it might be a good idea for her to work on her triceps a bit more. That could help balance things out and alleviate the issue. Keep up the great work, and thanks for sharing all this inspiring content!

Hello! Thank you so much for sharing your experiences, it really helps me get a better picture of what it means/takes to become a lawyer. In the video you mentioned there are people transitioning in from other industries, is there a general age limit to do that? I would assume firms prefer to hire junior staff within a certain age range..
@EmandLloyd2 жыл бұрын
It really depends - we've both seen people enter the industry at a relatively late stage in their carers. There's no hard cap on what age one could do this at, and there is also an argument that experienced people from other industries could bring something unique to the table if they enter the industry. It's also a question of whether it makes sense though - the career can be very demanding from a lifestyle perspective, so it might not make as much sense to start at a junior level lawyer later on in one's life. Thanks for watching!
