Coconuts do fall under tree nuts allergies. So, it depends. People who have peanuts allergies can have other nuts. Or pecans but can have peanuts. However, others who are allergic to more than one are advised to avoid all tree nuts. To include coconut.

While the FDA labels it a tree nut it is a fruit not a tree nut and people who have allergies to tree nuts might not have coconut allergies and vice versa. If you are allergic to tree nuts you should get it checked.

​@@stephaniehowe0973Doesnt matter to allergies. You devlop allergic reactions to certian protiens and surgars in certian foods and non food insects and vegitation. So, for example some legumes, seeds, and tree nuts might share a protien that all trigger the same allergy. Also some insect allergies are for a type of glucose that is simular enough to the glucose that all hoven animals produce, so one severe allergic reaction to an insect could lead to an red meat allergy, its still the same allergy it just starts to get triggered by more sources that are slightly diffrent, and while that is an new concern where I live (there is an invasive tick in the area that triggers this exact allergy) all allergies can do this. Once you have one allergy youve gotta be careful not to catch them all. its like PokéMon, just with body horror and the excat oppisite goal. So not like PokéMon at all.

Omg the people who come in for a business lunch to eat a salad and tea and sit in your section for the next 2 hours and leave 10 dollars I could have made 40 but you wouldn't leave for me to flip the table several times in that 2 hours. If your going to hog the table. Make it worth it to the server. You got a free space for your "meeting" so make it worth it

Depends where. I often do this at one place, but if I didn’t there’s no way they would have flipped the table even once, let alone several times. The place is almost empty in the afternoon when i’m there, and never full. There are usually maybe one or two other people, plus lots of take away. In the evening they get more people eating in. But if I ever saw that they needed my table I would leave immediately. And they probably wouldn’t hesitate to ask me to leave. As it is they know me and are OK with it.

I actually have done the second to a customer and he was PISSED. But it was a busy night and he was taking up a reserved table?? Like fine we have these smaller unneeded tables over there if u want to work and not order idc. But not right at that big booth?! If it's slow then idc. Long as u dont demand anything and are nice and ask the host, sure chill somewhere and not order idc. Its nice to have the bodies in the restaurant. For the last one SPEAK UP. Personally I know all our servers check in 2+ times after people get their food. And always ask if they need anything/tastes good. Yet people will still complain at the end of the meal! Ive even had people come up to me after everyone's leaving to start complaining about the food and demanding free stuff.

it is actually fairly common for people with tree nut allergies to also have allergies to coconuts many doctors tell those with severe tree nut allergies to also avoid coconut to play it safe

No, it isn’t. Not according to sites on allergies. They should test if they are worried because they have a lot of allergies to different things but it would be like avoiding oranges because you are allergic to apples

@@ariaflame-au I'm not sure which websites you got your information from but I was sharing the information I was given by my allergist who recommended that I avoid coconut since I have had severe reactions to tree nuts part of the reason that it is recommended is the possibility and developing an allergy to coconut due to coconut sharing some proteins with tree nuts but part of it is also the risk of cross-contamination during processing since they are frequently processed on the same equipment or in close proximity to tree nuts

Please stop with this misinformation. We eat the seeds to coconuts. Not the fruit. Tree nuts are the seeds to trees. While Palms are dffrent from Trees they are close enough that the componant causing the tree nut allergy could be triggered by coconuts. Its not 100% and nothing is but... It is better to avoid simular foods to those you are allergic too, the last thing anyone with any allergy needs is for thier allergic reaction to get more sensitive and get triggered by more sources. SMH. Its just not funny, and it shows a distinct ignorance on you for continuing to publish this joke. Take some time to learn about allergies.
