After reading some comments I want to address the fact that most house cleaners don’t do this deep of a clean unless asked to do so. We can’t read minds. If you want something done specify that. If you want your dishes done, your bed made, your clothes washed, the things on the floor to be organized you must specify that or it won’t get done. These things take up extra time therefore will cost extra money. The basics are vacuuming, dusting, cleaning the bathrooms, cleaning the kitchen, and mopping. Anything outside that will need to be specified. Also stop asking for quotes over the internet. It’s not gonna happen. Also stop expecting for cleaning to be cheap. It’s labor intensive work. It will not be cheap. Having your house cleaned is a luxury. Stop expecting for it to be $100 for a deep clean. It’s not happening. Don’t try to haggle for cheaper prices either. Not happening.

I can absolutely attest to this this video is not an accurate depiction of what housecleaning services do on a regular visit. this is an extreme deep cleaning -- not an accurate expectation this would be extra add-on services. I’ve had cleaning companies for many many years now -some ladies fantastic some completely missing entire rooms of my house some going above and beyond and some going on my Internet and deciding to go on my computer which is a huge no-no-others taking things from my house and others being so awesome I never wanted them to leave. So communication is key. It is a luxury of privilege but also for me who is chronically ill and has health problems really a huge wonderful help when the ladies come to help me and I appreciate it wholeheartedly! I make sure that an envelope$$ is there for them extra water soda drinks and ask them if ever they need anything extra -I’m very appreciative.

I've worked for a house cleaning service years ago and had a small staff under me. Before anything would be happening, we would meet up with the client, walk through the object he wished to get cleaned and make a list of everything he asked for (taking out trash, vacuuming, mopping the floors etc) and how often we should come. He then would get an offer, listing his wishes, the estimated time and the total cost. He then could add or remove things and we would make a final contract. The sad part was, how often the customer would pressure my staff to do things, which weren't listed in the contract (and the list of what was required was always with the staff, it could be looked up every time) and they didn't have to courage to say something. Whenever I would arrive to replace my staff, if they were sick or had days off, the client would complain to be that I didn't offer the same service as my staff did. Well, a quick check on the contract always revealed that the got more than they payed for and I was definitely the wrong address to complain to, because I was in a position to inform them that if this behavior continues, the company I worked for would charge them for the extra service and (if they would still behave badly) end the contract. It's sad how badly cleaning staff often gets treated, even though they are needed almost everywhere, the job is hard labor and sometimes really disgusting.

Not only does it show a level of professionalism but it also helps you clean the house in a way that will please the client, rather than just guessing along the way and the client ends up disappointed. Most people are pretty chill and are good with you cleaning however you see fit, but there are a few very particular people that will be very specific about things. It's always best to just ask.

This is amazing advise! I'm a housekeeper at 2 hotels. And used to be a private maid. People don't understand what goes into this. Comment back if you have ever been in a situation where people thought they were getting alot more than just an average clean. Paying you average price(usually below min. wage.) for an average clean and expected more or if you hired someone and they did a piss poor job/bad job!! And why . Thank you!!

So many times that is why I now have a list of what is included in my cleaning.
@dulcecyanide5925 Жыл бұрын
I have two lists I present clients. A regular clean, which is billed at $50 an hour with a 2hour minimum, and a deep clean which is billed by the job. Each client has the option of customizing their cleaning. This way it is clear what is being done and how much it costs. I don’t deal with people haggling my rates. I don’t take food off my table to save other people money.

Thank you! My mom ran her own cleaning business and the amount of customers she'd get that were wary of cleaners from having a bad one was unreal! Many were wealthy lawyers and doctors whom weren't home when she came. They'd had cleaners that stole, didnt clean what they were meant to, and more. My mom would go in with a contract including what she was meant to do, liability, and more. That 1 contract put them at ease and her customers were mostly all wonderful but so many people wanting to run their own cleaning business make these common mistakes because they didnt do the research

I pay my ex boyfriend to clean my apartment because nobody does it like him- he is the best cleaner I’ve ever seen but he never was a professional, he is just a perfectionist and a bit of a germaphobe, plus He likes the satisfaction of seeing his results after. And he works so fast, it’s pretty incredible. After trying to do it myself, and then hiring various people and being very disappointed, I started pestering him to come clean because I missed how he always had the place spotless! He will do my whole apartment and backyard for a 200 hundred dollars ( I like in expensive NYC and I’ve been charged 500 for the same job before and it was still dirty.) Now, 10 years after we met, he just started his own cleaning company, and he says it’s partly because of my encouragement! How cute!!

I honestly only have found myself feeling this way lately because of my cat, I have COPD, and in the last few months I've been off low energy. More aches and pains, from being home way more than I can remember. Back to my cat, I'm on oxygen, use unscented litter but I still smell it 😳🤢, and feeding she makes such a mess she has to stand with both front paws in her clean bowl of water and dig, and as for her food she eats very well, but yet another mess, she tends to chew with her mouth open food goes everywhere and of course wet food in her food bowl from the splash/dig party and this is every day. I'm tired.

@i.robles57852 жыл бұрын
You have to reach out to companies near you and ask
@yamiletbruno20312 жыл бұрын
It really depends on how dirty, how big your house is, and how deep of a clean you want but most won’t charge you less than $200 for a deep clean.
@Ilovevintage772 жыл бұрын
Exactly what the others said it depends on square footage of your home how many bedrooms and bathrooms you have the level of service you need and how much cleaning you need and also if you need a basic cleaning or a deep cleaning they would have to come assess your home and then give you a quote. Usually companies will insist and do a deep cleaning the first time to really really clean as a baseline. And then from there usually you will agree upon weekly biweekly or monthly and the price is agreed-upon from there

You don’t want the same vacuum cleaner they used in someone else’s house. Vacuum cleaners can transfer germs such as pet feces.

In my country, they never come with the products. You can either tell them what to use or ask them what do they recommend. But you always have to buy them in advance and have them ready when they show up.

When I cleaned homes professionally, I always brought anything I used, including a vacuum. I didn't work for a company though. Try an independent cleaner instead of a company.
@professorjphillips2 жыл бұрын
It depends
@Ilovevintage772 жыл бұрын
It really depends. I’ve had different cleaning companies and each one is different pricing is different services are different and whether or not they bring supplies each company is different. Some will make beds and change linens others will have higher level services and other will only do the basics. It really depends on the company. My company for example includes bringing vacuums and their own cleaning supplies and rags. They also will change your linens if you leave sheets out. And they will provide add-on services for a fee such as cleaning ovens deep cleaning and cleaning the refrigerator. This company cleaned out your microwave others don’t do that. It’s very individual so talking to different companies will give you an idea of the level of service you need

I have cleaning ladies that come about every 2-3 weeks and they’re so sweet. We’ve been working with them for about 10 years, a bit after we moved from Washington to Colorado in 2012. I personally don’t want them to clean my room, and they respect that. It’s a mix of being uncomfortable with ppl touching/moving my personal stuff (I’m autistic and that can occasionally come with some OCD-like traits and I’m very particular abt my personal things) and also the fact that I often struggle with keeping my room clean bc of executive functioning issues and depression and I’d rather not make them deal with my mess. I prefer to clean my room myself as a way of self discipline and coping when I need something tedious to focus on. All of this to say, i appreciate how accommodating they are and how they always greet me with big, sweet, smiles even though I’m pretty shy and reserved. Mad respect to all those lovely cleaning ladies everywhere, you’re all doing awesome!
