Many of the actions we take in providing humanitarian assistance unintentionally create fire risk. It’s time to learn more and do more to prevent fires. Fire safety in the humanitarian sector is everyone’s responsibility.
Whether a shelter specialist, part of CCCM, or focusing on education or health, there’s something you can do to ensure affected populations don’t experience the devastation and trauma of a fire.
As well as causing injury, loss of life, and damage within communities, fires also happen in agency buildings or warehouses. These fires significantly impact our ability to provide humanitarian assistance.
