Superb lesson brother. I appreciate you clarifying the grammatical considerations. You were clear that the SALVATION Peter wrote of in the first half of the chapter leads to the possibility and necessity for HOLINESS in the second half of the chapter and the first few verses of chapter 2.

Literal reading in the Greek is "having girded up the loins of your mind." Loins are the hips of the human body. It is from the hips that the body pivots around. It is also the center of the strength of the body. The mind is where actions, and words pivot from and is where strength or weakness reside for mental endurance.

Came across this short message to get more understanding of this specific verse. The speaker in this content is so busy putting out the fact that he has education. I’m a high school graduate, a college graduate. I studied English. I’m not trying to hear about verbs and participle I am trying to hear the word of God. Teachers and pastors, stop letting your education take prominence before your delivering the word of God!!

Drunk Minds on the World Babylonian System The woman in Revelation made the nations drunk with the wine of her fornication. That fornication is idolatry and prosperity and worldliness.
