Had massive panic attack on Sunday, then headed to the canal to relax. Crossing the gate lock cautiously my bag swung, hit my keg nearly knocking me into the water, i saved myself. The pain in my keg tremendous but my thought fear was, I've fractured my hip(recently diagnosed with severe osteoporosis). Tsunami of what if followed. Knew I had to get home before I couldn't drive! Madness. Two days of my bidy in pain all over. Initial bruising from my heavy bag hitting me and niw mentally I'm coming down. This PDP TMS stuff is real. Getting there by trying to put a buffer in if and when sensations show. Thanks

I wake up with burning legs every day all day. I have no idea what my dreams are. Rarely remember them. So I’m unable to put a psychological reason for it.

I’m really curious - I had an incident in power yoga 14 weeks ago where I had feeling of electricity down my arm, then had spasm and couldn’t lift my arm, intense shoulder pain. Kept trying to exercise over that week and it got worse with numbness in thumb and finger. Ended up getting MRI because the pain was so intense and complete loss of wrist strength - it showed extrusion of disc between C5/C6 pressing on root nerve. Have been doing rehab for over 3 months now - tried to gently return to normal activities last week (yoga and rock climbing), went really easy but it caused a flare up of pain/sensitivity/tightness. Because it has been over 3 months could this be brain caused/fear based pain rather than the disc herniation/nerve compression. The physio said that some people’s disc injuries can take up to a year, but I thought the body healed more quickly than that. I really want to return to my usual hobbies, but don’t want to re-injure. Any advice would be appreciated!!!

This works for the occasional occurrence of pain. But what about 24/7 symptoms like dizziness?

I had this symptom for over a year. You have to lose the fear from this sensation. Challenge yourself to go back to your old life no matter how worse it gets. Let yourself feel the fear when it rises, be patient with yourself casue it takes time but you will get better!

What about a constant low level migraine that is just switching sides back and forth, sometimes very rapidly? I know why this all started, but as for my day to day, it’s just lingering and as I said going back and forth for no apparent rhyme or reason. It’s not like an uptick or a specific emotion is triggering it, it just Ping pongs back and forth at its own pace. How do I think psychologically about that? Thinking about rejoining your group

Emotion IS causing it. Subconscious emotion. You need to stop and feel it.

What about chronic dizziness that has led to depression and avoidance of normal old life activities and or agoraphobia?

What about people that are told they have a chronic illness like chronic uti? Can this still be related to the brain causing it? Thoughts etc?
@MrIansmitchell
@MrIansmitchell Жыл бұрын
You need to stop allowing any raw chicken into your home. Nearly all UTIs come from (mis)handling of raw chicken within the home, with the overwhelming majority culturing as campylobacter, Salmonella, and C. perfringens bacteria, all of those found in factory farmed poultry. You can go with either pre-cooked frozen or non-meat alternatives.

I had chronic UTIs back in college that resolved itself when I stopped trying to treat it and moved on with my life. I didn't know about TMS/the mindbody connection at the time, but now looking back, they were definitely caused by immense feelings of guilt and stress regarding what I was going through at the time.

@@liannevalle thanks for your reply I just wondered when he says check it’s not structural, what happens if it is & nothing works to get rid of it. Interesting though that happened for you though xx
