Alastair is my hero...I love his story and his journey...I'm on my own adventure and thinking big and thinking small have both made a world of difference..

Al, of all adventurers I have listened to you most embody the "walk the talk" principle. You really do a lot of different things and inspire the rest of us by doing so. Great notion to think small, start small, but start - then big things will follow.

For everyone emailing me about the India map / story thing, they are called 'mappazines'. Google will tell you more!

Because of Mountain Bikes and Bothy Nights, I have 1, bought an ultralight tent, 2, bought a Marin Pine Mountain which I collect today, 3, started doing some really difficult hikes and am about to purchase my first bivvy bag! Mr. Humpries, thanks for the inspiration! You Sir, have up to now, cost me just over a thousand English pounds! 😂

Thanks for your kind words. But it honestly is not rocket science and I firmly believe most people could do these things if only they choose to do so and commit to it.
