China's official numbers are not reliable, for example, the CCP reported that China's whole month COVID deaths in December, 2022 were only 18, but the true figures could be about 10 thousand deaths per day. In recent days, the W.H.O. has said that Chinese government's report is far from reality in the field.

GDP is inaccurate gauge of a country's wealth. Just because something is produced does not mean it gives a return.

The typical rule of thumb for a recession is 2 consecutive negative growth GDP quarters. These IMF values are annual growth rates so even though quarterly GDP could be negative, annual GDP may not be.

Countries have negative growth rates all the time. Russia's rate has improved since the April 2022 forecasts, but still projected to decline ever so slightly

If you factor in inflation, then, there is only 1 major country has inflation as 2%. All others have 6+% or even 2 digits.
