It's totally normal to feel this way, changing environments comes at a cost, you get something new but you lose something in return. Don't overthink it because missing an old environment is gonna happen and overthinking it will just make it bigger.

Yep you're finding out that the end of the day the most important thing in this world is your own folk and race. Good luck on what you decide to do! It's totally okay to go back!

Of all the things that we spend in this world time is the most valuable, your time will take you to your destiny and that will be your future

The Algorithm sent me here to tell you that attending graduate school in a generally unprofitable field, in a country declining both economically and demographically, with low salaries when compared to other post-industrialized nations, and which is unlikely to fully accept you in any field because you are not Japanese, may not be the best decision unless you have very strong countervailing reasons to want to reside in Japan. Good luck.

Netflix has done more for the English language than over half a century of English teachers ever could. There are more and more well-spoken Japanese vloggers than there have ever been.
