@@pancackess1819 so, the definition of fetishizing is “to have an excessive and irrational commitment to or obsession with something”, and it is often accompanied with over sexualizing as well. I’m not really understanding what part of this is fetishized. Do you think the entire video is? Is it just my comment? What about this interaction is sexual, irrational, or obsessive? Which part is idolization? Is it that I said I like their outfits? Is it because other commenters said they like certain people’s music taste? What if, we all just liked the video because we got a look into someone else’s culture and daily life? What if we just liked the video because it brought us a little bit closer in a really big world where we’re really far apart?

Nah kpop has been SUPER popular in Japan for years. Hence why kpop artists are always putting out either Japanese singles and albums despite none of the members knowing a lick of Japanese. Cause the Korean entertainment companies know how much of a demand there is for kpop artists in japan. Kpop girl groups like SNSD and KARA were topping the Oricon charts back in the day even beating and outshining multiple popular well known Japanese artists.

This is such a wonderful concept! I've always been interested to know about what other people are listening to.
