I'm not sure this particular dynamic exists anywhere else on KZbin. You have the parents living van life & doing videos about their experiences, then their daughter (Ame In A Van) is doing the same thing. However what makes it extra cool is they all co-exist together. They'll appear on her videos & vice versa & it's like 3 friends hanging out the way they interact with each other. It's such a pleasure to watch it all unfold. I wish them all the best success. People like this deserve it.

Other times one carries on where the other left off, its very enjoyable to follow and shows things from different angles and views. For me it is like following a modern day "Waltons family" US TV series from long ago. I love and took the family to my heart. Like I have with Rob, Charlotte, Ame and all the furry family members!

Hey again guys oh, forgot to ask you this in my previous comment... just curious to see if you guys had ever thought about using a slow cooker for as I've always called them a Crock-Pot. I think one of those would be ideal for Van life. There are a lot of really great slow cooker recipes online that you can find and I use mine quite often. For making such things as a pot roast or some homemade beef stew. It's very handy to set up early in the morning, add all of your ingredients, put the lid on, turn it on and let it go. Then you can head out and do your business for the day and when you get home several hours later, dinner is done. There's nothing quite like a good pot roast with potatoes, carrots and onions or a good bowl of beef stew on a cold evening. Anyway, just an idea I wanted to run by you guys.

I moved into my van in December, a frosty start in -16° north UK 😂 I've spent about 7 nights so far for on paid sites 🎉 Also don't see the point in building my home to then not live it it properly 👍 I've made it to Albania for the summer 😊

I think it's fantastic to be doing something you enjoy and love. Regardless of the conflicts with each other from time to time, it's wonderful that you have each other. Maybe next time you could share how is it that Charlotte and Ame have french passports. I tried van life for 2 years after stage 4 cancer kicked my arse however, it was too lonely and very hard to get work (I'm not a KZbinr). Have you ever looked into incinerator toilets? Basically you'd be throwing away ash. Of course, there are drawbacks. It needs gas like propane and I believe you have to wait 30 minutes in between use and they are expensive. Other than that, they are odorless and a lot less gross to clean up! Cheers! 😄

I absolutely admire you both as well as Ame. I’m 42 and would love to try my hand at van life in Europe, i’m from the States, Texas to be exact. However, I am chronically ill and legally blind. For some reason, they don’t like legally blind people driving, something about not seeing very well 😅. A bit of humor😂. I’m single and live with my parents and brother. My parents are elderly and my brother works, so I have no one to do the driving. Therefore, I live vicariously through van life KZbinrs, the 3 of you being my favorites. Hello guys, another good video with some good information and van life tips. For example buying the bottled water for drinking. The chemicals in public water are definitely and turn off, plus you never know what is down in those pipes. Better safe than sorry as the old saying goes. And that clip you showed during the video from early in your van life, where you guys parked up in the mountains was exquisite. Looking down over the valley and ridge line of the mountains reminds me of being along the Blue Ridge Parkway in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. Along the parkway there are a lot of spots where you can pull off like that. And the views are just as stunning. Especially at Sunrise or Sunset depending on which way you are facing and which side of a mountain you are on at the time. People in RVs, camper trailers or even vans like yours and Ame's use them quite frequently to spend the night before heading down into Gatlinburg Tennessee. We've stayed along the parkway a few times ourselves in our camper in years past. In the Autumn when the leaves are changing is really beautiful along the parkway. It's been quite some time since we have done that, but I believe people are still allowed to do so, however don't quote me on that. By the way that salmon dish Charlotte made in this video looked yummy. I'm sure it was delicious. As you guys from England would say.... "Lovely stuff mate." But, take care guys and be safe. Keep up the good work and keep finding those wonderful places. :)

I'm building a van right now. Im not planning on ever living in it. I own 2 property's both in rural Florida paid off for years and will be 62 and retired in 2 years. Our van has a separate bathroom with shower and composting toilet. Hoping for some good times coming up and when it gets hohum we can go back home. If you get to US, you can park and Basecamp on our property anytime.

I do enjoy learning about van life, however for those of us who travel on holiday (and on a budget), tips woven into your videos regarding scenery, cities, shopping areas, types of local food, best times of year to travel etc. are invaluable. You may be mobile from the UK, but you are also savvy French locals.

Regarding income: Since you can travel & work anywhere within the EU it might become interesting (in the future) to find out which country offers the best support system for content creators / intellectual property. They all have accords anyway, so no moral issues involved. The cameras etc. are business expenses after all and who knows, there even is a fair chance Ame's 60's dresses actually are tax deductable. 😄 On a different note.... are the toilet chemicals as good in reality as advertised?

I’m just full of admiration for you both, taking the decision to go for vanlife. I’m sure it is hard work, but rewarding too. I don’t have the best health, unfortunately, so enjoy your life vicariously. I do sense a slight concern for Ame, when you talk about her single vanlife, which I totally understand having a grown, and single daughter myself. LOVE the discussion about not being a "Karen" (a reference to busy body ladies in the US.). Hope Van Lifers pay attention to that...cuz it's not cool to upset the locals. Chill.Ya, you are chippy to Rob and he is chippy to Amie, hahaha.Thank you for adding the US equivalent on H2O. Those bottles here cost about $1.00 but most grocery stores have filtered water machines to fill up those bottles we bought. I use Arizona Tea jugs when empty cuz they are strong and have a good handle. I will be living full time in my truck leaving the Reno area beginning of June because my landlord raised the rent 66%, AGAIN, last time it was 50% increase. So I gotta go. Would rather spend that money on gas and distance, but have to admit, although I've done this before (with dogs, but they are gone now) I will have to remember all I learned, I'm a little rusty. HOW did you get that avocado to separate on BOTH sides of the seed?!!!

I am just a stupid American who hopes to retire next year. Don't know what it will bring but hopefully some traveling. I follow some van lifers in America but you are the only "foreigners" (ha), that I also follow. I absolutely love you both, and Ame, (oh, and also your little fur babies), and your honest, down to earth style. You give us "Middle-Agers" some hope for an enjoyable future. As an American, I can't tell you how wonderful it is to see some of the beautiful places and people you visit. An absolute blessing to my heart. Just wanted to say how much I truly appreciate you and your channel. Thank you for what you are doing. Stay safe, stay well and happy.
