I live and knit in Southern Ontario with my husband and my terrier. The name kuriaknits comes from my last name - Kurian. Kurian has Indian and Syrian origins and I feel lucky every day that my husband shared it with me.

I copied you on the Graerup Chunky sweater, knitting it at a tighter gauge and changing the color placement. Cast on a few days ago and now working on the first sleeve while watching this video featuring all these beautiful projects. The cabled cardigan is beautiful, I put it in my favorites right away, and will be checking out more of her patterns. So: thank you for the company and the inspiration!

I have knit 3 Petite Knit patterns. My favorite is the Louisiana sweater, use it for dog walking. Always enjoy your knitting insights.

Hi! Drops cotton merino for a light summer sweater like Ingrid. Or flora for the iris pull over from November knits😍 I’ve used a lot of drops snow for variations of the Louisiana sweater:) Normally I use kid silk with all drops alpaca (Lima as well) against all the pilling 😅

It's gotten really cold here in California too. I am knitting like crazy so I have something to wear!

I used Drops Air in a colour work cowl, but the other yarn was a very structured high twist non-superwash. I knit it at a sport gauge and the integrity was not lost! I think using it for both colours it would definitely melt together, but it's still doable!

Ohh I never thought of using it at such a tight gauge! Such a good idea.

My only FO in 2022 is a blanket. HA! Dang, knitting a blanket is no joke. I love the blanket though. Now I'm working on smaller objects and I keep thinking about making another blanket. I guess I like knitting really long rows!

Sitting knitting on my Billie pullover from Buffalo NY - our final count where I am is 77 inches of snow. Thankfully our house hasn't had any damage but many other places nearby have had roofs collapse. So weird how close we are with wildly different weather!

So much inspiration...I had to keep pausing to go over to Ravelry! For buttons...during covid I discovered an Etsy shop, Vintage Button Store, based out of Toronto. I really shouldn't order more yarn, but I'm thinking I might if The Knitting Loft has a Black Friday sale....was thinking to get DE Rerum Natura Gilliat, but now you've got me thinking of Cascade 220. I think I've always thought it was superwash, which I'm not fond of. I also love Wool Warehouse! I received an order of Drops Alaska on Friday....still on sale for under £2 a ball. I'm going to use it for a Rug Sweater...I was influenced by seeing it on a couple of podcasts lately. On it I want to try jacquard stranded knitting (lol, I can't remember the proper name of the technique)

Thanks for the recommendation! Cascade 220 has a superwash and non-superwash version! Stranded knitting sounds like a fun challenge!
