Buying a boat is a very big deal. Often a boat is the second most expensive thing a person owns after their house. Making a mistake can be very costly and can cause years of heartache and frustration. However, a wise buyer has the opportunity to make one of the biggest savings of their lives - provided they do a great job of negotiating.
The Boat Buying Blueprint gives you the information you need to negotiate the best possible price on your next boat. If you want more information about the course, click on the link below.

Great idea Chris and I’m sure this will be a huge resource for prospective boat owners. With Covid the secondhand boat market has gone crazy and many of those buying are new to boating,so this could help them avoid over paying or buying a money pit. Cheers and good to see your videos again, for some reason they were not appearing in my recommended,list despite being a subscriber. I think I follow too many channels lol. Andy UK

Hi Chris I just came across your video about your new course tonight, one day late from Valentines Day ! And did not pick up on how much it would cost etc? Have I missed the offer to join ? And the discount? Find your videos and approach so refreshing ! Have a small cruising catamaran with an outboard but you and your wife appeal to me so much for your honesty, knowledge, great ideas and your philosophy.. and you relate to us so much as fellow small boat owners on a budget..Greatly appreciate your work!

Chris, Would you recommend someone work with a buyers broker? Why? ( Why not? if not ) As far as offering less than asking, I would say that it really depends on several factors. Brand of boat, Age of boat, asking price. If there are multiples of the same brand, size and age available, what differences are there in pricing? Some brands hold their value far better than others and if the seller undervalues their boat you don't need to underbid the asking price, you will already be able to sell at a profit. I would also look globally in searching for a boat. It is far lower cost to me if I buy a boat anywhere in Europe than if I buy one locally, even with shipping it to the Pacific North West.

Hi Chris! This sounds great, well up for it! Quick (silly!) question: is this course relevant for purchasing a boat from a private seller and not a broker, with a budget of £15k? Many thanks in advance! Kindly, Jesper
@SailingBritaly
@SailingBritaly 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jesper, that's a perfectly valid question and the answer is yes! This strategy works whether you are buying direct from a private seller or from a broker, and I would say it is definitely a wise investment for a boat at that price range. I hope to see you in the course soon. :-) Best regards, Chris

This course explains how you can negotiate and buy a boat at a discount of up to 38.5%, using the strategy I developed when we were boat dealers. It covers a lot of ground on this specific subject. Saving such a large amount on a boat purchase (on a boat of any value) is the perfect start for anyone who wants to start cruising on a tight budget. Best regards, Chris

@SailingBritaly
@SailingBritaly 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ralph, you are entitled to your opinion and I respect it. Here is my response to explain things from my point of view: I have two main YT channels with a total of over 10 million video views. Most of my videos are helpful, so I have given up thousands of hours of my time to make content which helps others, at zero cost to viewers. As I make lots of "how to" videos I have had many, many questions over the years, so as well as giving up my time to make videos, I have also given up hundreds of hours of my time to reply to people's questions, without receiving any compensation for my time (Which is one of the most valuable resources any of us have in life.) As an example, before this comment you asked me 6 questions in one day. Now think about how many questions I have had after 10 million video views and you may start to see how I might start getting tired of giving up my time for others after a few years of this. We bought Britaly at 50% less than her sister ships were being advertised for (after negotiating 38.5% less than her asking price). We were able to do this because we are experts in buying and selling boats (we were boat dealers, so did this for a living, after risking everything to get $100k of loans to start this business from scratch.) During our time as boat dealers we made hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of boat transactions - learning on each and every deal. We entered into more negotiations on one day of a single boat show than most boat owners will in their lifetime, so we gained lots of experience in this field during the time we did this for a living. Recently we have helped consulting clients save five figure sums on their boat purchases, so we know that the techniques and strategies we developed work for others too, and are very valuable. The course took me a lot of time to make (19 videos, 19 audio files, PDF downloads, and a whole set of software infrastructure to put in place) and was only possible for me to make because of the unique life experience I gained during a time of life where Rossella and I worked like dogs 7 days per week in order to help other people live their dreams, whilst sacrificing our own lives due to the workload involved in running a cross-border boat importation business. Why do people have to pay for the course? 1) Out of respect for me and my time. 2) Because this information - if acted upon - will save people many times more than the investment in the course. 3) Because the information is valuable and must be taken very seriously, and studied methodically, in order for the full benefit to be obtained. 4) Because I would be an idiot to give this information away for free. 5) Because I have to put food on the table for my daughter, and provide for her future in an uncertain world. 6) Despite the recent best efforts of politicians across the world, we do not yet live under communism, so people who have something valuable to share are rewarded according to the value they give to others. 7) So that I am compensated for the time I take to help people on their boat buying journey (for example in the private members group where earlier today a course member thanked me profusely after he was able to secure a "significant discount" on a boat purchase 25 years after he last owned a boat) If someone wants access to this information for their own benefit, they can buy the course and make full use of it to save themselves a fortune when they buy a boat. If someone does not want to pay for the course then they are welcome to go out on a limb and learn everything from scratch all on their own just like I did many years ago. I know which I think the most intelligent course of action is, but many others may well disagree. I hope you can begin to see things from my perspective now. If not we shall just have to agree to disagree and I will leave you with good wishes. Best regards, Chris

@@SailingBritaly I get all that, but at the end of the day you made a decision to take a risk and invest your money into being a KZbin player. If you are lucky you may get some patreon support here and there, and by the sounds of it it ain't enough for you, given your failed invesent it makes sense that you are now trying to skim off where you can. All the channels I follow for the most part don't need to make a living from KZbin and gladly offer their time and experiences for free without the need to charge . I prefer Chanel's that share knowledge rather than confess to be some sort of gurus that think they own the right to info and want to sell it. I have just been fucked over by a boat broker this week and even though I was the only one engaging with the seller directly, told me that the boat had just sold. Nothing in your info would have protected me from that. Anywho, I am grateful for your how to videos and appreciate them So keep up the good work in that department. If you can make a living from selling Knowledge, good on ya, if not, maybe hop back to the profession you know so well, sounds a tad more secure for you and your family. Take care and good luck with it all.
