This vid/review has been music to my ears, thanks mate, literally going to test drive one tomorrow and I was somewhat sold but after this vid im pretty much sold, you answered a lot of questions I had in my head and I guess now its up to the Focus to sell itself to me lol. By the way, whats your take on an after market audio system because I see this has the sync 1 as my Kuga but the ST3 im going to test drive seems to have an after market sync3 look alike. Is that a concern electronically or not so much? I cant seem to find much on the net about the ebay/alibaba types and I guess you wont see this before I go test drive tomorrow but id love to have your opinion on it. Great vid, thanks again!

Thanks so much for the high praise. I’m really just a guy who loves cars at the end of the day. I hope your drive went well. I also love sound so my opinion is to replace the speakers with some quality units and use the head unit to tune them. That’s what I did with my Figo and it worked a treat. Would recommend ❤

How are these driveshafts doing their jobs on these Ford Focus ST, since these wheels have been a bit lowered?

Still good I believe. I have ridden shotgun recently and still all in working order. Although probably quite unnecessary haha

Why is your radio screen not touchscreen in the st3 like here in the U.S? We get the 9inch sync3 touchscreen even in the st2, That looks like st1 with st3 seats

Not sure. There were also some discrepancies between the Euro ST and the US ST. I guess sometimes you guys get the run of the green so to speak 😜

@@project-drivesa305 yea I would trade my junk sync3 touch display for your guys MK2 Focus ST all day lol What I would do to put that 5 cylinder Volvo engine in my MK3 ST.

No my friend. That is the worst engine ever. Ringland failure galore. Lovely car to own and drive. Please be careful of buying them 2nd hand. Engine might have already been overhauled.

No there not, I’m on my 3rd st, haven’t had a single Ringland issue or head gasket, Not a single mechanical problem with the engine or transmission other then sealing up the shift tower and every single one was well over 100k miles, change oil every 3k miles, FBO Customer dyno tuned at 286whp & 352lbft torque for over 2 years now. I know about 10 ppl in my area that own them also , I’ve seen 3rd gear synchro go on my buddy’s that about it, 20x more reliable then my my fbo wrx’s iv built for the last 10 years, I can promise you a stock block ecoboost 2.0 is much more reliable then a built block Subaru not so much pushing power but reliability.

@@timprice8877 Correct. The key is the regular care and maintenance on it from time to time. Always be "a gentle mother" to Ford Focus ST instead of abuse and mishandle. What is your viewpoint on driveshafts on these Ford Focus ST? I'm not sure if these driveshafts are prone to unexpected failures or is it the issue with the manufacturers?
@timprice88776 ай бұрын
@@ulf-dieterkoepp7865 I guess it’s on the 13-14 pfl st like I own lol ford had a recall on them if your st was manufactured from may 2013 to January 2014, I doubt they will cover it so I just never looked into it being the car has been paid off for long time, I never had any problems with driveshafts, I thought I did awhile back but it was my tires they had couple knots in them from the bands breaking in the tire.
