I'm nowhere near this kind of skill due to not playing fps games much anymore or so when I play what am I going to pick more The role that if I have a off day can still just get value from helping others get value by keeping them alive while have a easier time living and on a good basically just be a DPS with that same benefits Or The roles that if I don't have a good day on will likely be called slurs or reported even if I ultimately didn't do too badly all things considered. Granted that can be with support too but one has drastically more pressure than the other which limit their fun.

Isn't there enough downtime at the end of team fights to hack health packs (esp hot ones like the mega) and still position for the next fight? Seems like not hacking the health pack actually affects the APM of sombra in that case no?

Unless you plan to have a specific health pack be actively used multiple times per hack duration, a wasted hack is wasted time, positioning, and also information that the enemy can use-- how far along the back timer is can be used to figure out how nearby an enemy Sombra is. Hacking more healthpacks WILL come at the cost of being ready to go for (unexpected) opportunities that you would otherwise have missed out on too.

Its a pretty common misconception, hacked healthpacks will ONLY have value if you intend to use a healthpacks more than twice per hack. If you use it to deny the enemy-- you can just grab it and put it on a way longer cooldown than if you hacked it even
