The Detroit defense played one of the best games I've ever seen from a unit that had so many significant injuries. They had essentially no-names playing man coverage on Jefferson and Addison and it worked! They were clearly so prepared and played out of their minds. It won't be easy in the playoffs, but Aaron Glenn is clearly a great DC who will get the most of them. This channel rarely compliments defenses and instead makes fun of offenses who suffer at the hands of a good defensive performance.

@@johnchedsey1306 Bears' ownership isn't _in_ the way of good coaching. They're as hands-off as is possible, like Broncos, Steelers & Jags' ownership. Some humans when they have no oversight are free to do their best. Others see it as a free ticket to Not Care. Also what BS about Caleb having it bad. He had better 1) o-line, 2) roster, 3) play-calling, 4) HC & OC, as well as general fan support. No one _doubted_ his talent for a second or blamed him for team failings. Fields on the other hand got blamed for play-calling & the defense, two things he had Zero Control over. After week 6 of '22 he called out his coaches. In response, those coaches changed up their plays for the next 4 weeks as if fearing exposure while media & the fan base pretended that they didn't hear this. They *averaged* 31 ppg over those 4 weeks. Then they returned to calling the previous plays _knowing_ those produced under 29. Do I _have to_ elaborate upon this? *The **_coaches decided to return to using plays they KNEW PRODUCED FEWER POINTS!_* Somehow this is _still_ considered Fields' fault. & when the Bears dropped the last 3 games of those 4 weeks people said "this just proves that _Fields_ can't win" this showed 1) they knew the plays were different, 2) that they'd improved, yet 3) all the fans dismissed those 4 games as a fluke. This was the year _before_ they acquired D.J. Moore. Fields out-did Burrow, best _this year._ While Burrow had Chase & Higgins he got no flukes. Burrow in a supposed MVP year has had no 4-game streaks where his top-rated offense averaged 31 points. When Fields did it with Chase Claypool as his #1 WR, an HC who openly humiliated him & play-calls designed to produce fewer points it was dismissed as a fluke. Yeesh.

As a Seattle fan, I don't know if there's really an option out there that's better than Geno for 2025 but hopefully a new OC will come in and maybe they'll finally improve that awful O-line. I would like Seattle to be scouting every young backup who has potential (Joe Milton, Tanner McKee, even Trey Lance) just to see if there's an opportunity to upgrade that others might be overlooking. Super happy for Bryce Young. The second half of the season was such a redemption arc. Maybe he'll never be a superstar, but he's clearly not an all time bust. Pretty sure that Mayo was going to be fired no matter what. The team had a long statement out very quickly yesterday The Lions pulled off a stunning defense that should not have worked given all the backups, but it did. They manage to get Darnold off his game and keep him that way. I suspect if they rematch in 2 weeks, Darnold will play much better. But the Lions may be one of the best coached teams in the league and Aaron Glenn is getting his guys to overachieve. A Detroit vs Buffalo or Baltimore superbowl sounds awesome.

I remember the “more for 4” and “drive for 5” when lake Travis went 5 years in a row winning state titles.
