This was really interesting, and your enthusiasm is quite infectious! I would be interested to know whether the cruise line was accomodating from the start or whether you had to overcome any initial concerns so that they would allow you to travel together independently.

Thank you so much I really appreciate your kind comments, and of course taking the time to watch the video! I cannot speak for other cruise lines because this was my very first experience but we chose to call and make the booking over the phone, when explaining our accessibility requirements they offered to meet us at Port, coordinated with other crewmembers and offered a guided tour of the ship, continuing conversation and coordination via email up until the event itself. When we were aboard the crew showed us the multiple ways we could ask/receive assistance at any time. Which not only gave us confidence to explore the ship but it felt like one giant family as well! I am a very confident traveller and the joy of meeting new people and making new memories is part of the fun for me, I’m more proud of my friend for not only taking a leap of faith and doing it with me but also it being her first ever solo blind holiday ❤️
