My realistic goal with my current momentum and consistency is to finally reach a total of 250 (238 as of now) subscribers who continue to find value in my content. I’ve started uploading 3x a week consistently for the past 3 weeks and the statistics 📈 lean towards 1,000 by May-June. 🤞

I can certainly echo the message. My channel had only 200 subs last year at this time. It had taken me 5 months to just get my first 100 subs. It was lonely, very few people were watching my videos, even though they were of decent quality. But I didn't quit, I kept going. My channel now has gained 40000 subs since last December, and I can definitely confirm Think Media's message on momentum. Persistence is the key! Don't just quit yet!

My big win on momentum, is I planned out the top 70 possible video "titles" I might want to create for my channel (and I have subscribed to VRA watching their training). From there, I picked the top 20 videos on this list of 70, to do first. From that list, I picked the top 10 videos to actually create first. This kept everything focused on what I wanted to create. Now to get better at script writing, I wrote a quick handwritten outline of these top 10 videos with topics, and used a script format like the top 10 tips or techniques or steps, or points of review, on the topic or theme of each video. I know it is recommended to just work from outlines to get better at natural speaking, or the other method is teleprompter but trying to speak naturally after practicing. However I am going the script and teleprompter route for now, until I get better at just winging it with just an outline. Anyways from these first 10 one page outlines with bullets, I then type it into a 2 to 3 page script, double spaced, on a computer in 1.5 hours for a 10 minute video. And I can write a script one a day or one every 2 days. This I call batch scripting. When it comes time to do video, I will reread and make some changes to flow of words written so it sounds good. I will stop with script writing after 10 scripts, and start batch recording the first 3 videos, then edit them. So no time to get nervous getting started, and this works well in production so far. All while also having a job and delivering work to clients. I am sure there is more than one way to get momentum in this work. I only joined VRA a few weeks ago, learning a lot and enjoying it!

As an active duty mechanic in the Air Force, your steering momentum analogy makes me think about how hard it is to steer different types of vehicles. It’s much harder to steer a parked truck with no power steering vs a parked sedan with power steering. This also reminds me of pushing non running trucks around the shop to get it in the stall to start working on. A big heavy truck is easier to steer once it’s in motion but it’s even easier to steer when the engine is running power steering is engaged.

The law of momentum is so infrequently discussed. I had no idea what was going to be discussed in this podcast but was pleasantly surprised to hear it was about momentum. It is nice to hear others speaking about it vs. me silently reminding myself about it because most people don't really understand what it means or if they do understand it intellectually, they are unable to act upon it.

I'm going on my 3rd year of still not being monetized- hard is definitely an understatement. I started suffering from some health issues this year & didn't post weekly but for the first 2+ years I was very consistent & still had slow (but steady) growth. I think I was also suffering from burnout. But I'm feeling a lot better & am excited to start cranking out content again but I have invested in some things that are going to lighten the load next year so I hopefully don't get burnt out! & my business is "gardening/farming" & yes, you're so right! There's a lot of work that goes into that you don't see, but it does get easier... but sometimes no matter how much prep you do- mother nature has different plans! & you have weather, pests, disease, etc. Working against you!

I’ve done a couple questionnaires for Think Media on “how to make VRA better” One thought I just had about momentum and VRA. It might be awesome to have VRA milestone parties. I know that you have VRA welcome parties. What if you had the “90 day party” or “1 year party” or “2 year party” to help us all to continue to wake up in grind. As Sean said, it can be lonely 😞. It might be motivating to see VRA family members who started VRA at the same time as you and see where they are… Just a thought. Thanks for your help 👌.
