The fact that Sean can show the receipts that he didn’t have it figured out at the beginning gives your advice so much more credibility

I love your channel it's a top 3 of anything for me. But I really wish you would talk about a sports channel because it's WAYyyyy different. I can't just make ten videos in one day and use them it changes daily

Thank you for sharing! I can appreciate how passionate you are when talking about KZbin advice, you are very expressive! Before I knew it I was at 38 minutes. To your point, I was just having this conversation with myself (yes, I think out loud lol) two days ago. I started my very first channel in 2017 and I abandoned it in 2018. In that short time I gained 250k subscribers. I didn't realize it at the time but I was right on the money with not making any of the common creator mistakes and having 2/3 of the Ps. I wasn't going into it as a business, just a girl with a camera who wanted to share my unique experiences living in another country as a black girl. I kept it clear and narrow in the beginning with lots of personality, then let my content slowly branch out as my audience grew. My channel took off almost overnight for the entire time. I tried to change niches on the channel after leaving that country but it was too late. My audience wasn't interested in seeing me in the USA. I created a new channel in 2024 but this time I made EVERY mistake! I didn't follow a similar formula or repeat any of the things that made me successful. My videos are all over the place (green beans!), I am not providing a clear enough value, I've been just kinda posting anything and everything without a goal. As it turns out, I am no longer interested in the "influencer" route! My passion for making content that revolves around my personal life has left me... I'm no longer 25 years old anymore 😅so my values have changed. I have been struggling to even turn the camera on, and I no longer enjoy this process. I'm starting a new channel from scratch doing something that I both love and am very good at. There is decent demand in the niche, not millions of views but it's sizable. I'm starting this time with a content strategy, the value that I'm going to provide, how I'm different from my competitors, and how I plan to monetize outside of Adsense. I just wanted to validate and confirm everything you said here so that people can know that you are really dropping free game here. Thanks again!

Back in those days you could only afford one SD card so it had to go in the camera you were using to film the camera you were reviewing 😅 great vid!

I only post music. But I change the style all the time which doesn't do good when it comes to followers. Today I am in a mood for relaxation music, tomorrow for extreme metal. I know I am not going to make a good vloger unless I make an AI avatar and feed it words. I tried to make few music tutorials which for the most part didn't go anywhere. And I see others doing the same thing over and over growing. So, yes. People do expect a channel to be very autistic and focus on narrow intrest.

Are you serious being rejected by millions of subscribers?😮Oh no. It’s just like I got 17k subscribers mainly from shorts with repurposed videos but almost all are gone when I changed or mainly switched to long form videos … and now continuing shorts again 39:59
