First of all I would like to thank Think Media for your videos. I came across your site about 6 weeks ago, so relatively new, but I find your advice incredible helpful. Now I have started filming food videos of my wife's cooking, as she is an incredible cook, and my 10 year old daughter does all the editing...a family affair😊 At the moment we are just learning and enjoying the whole process, so as long as you keep posting informative videos, like above, we will keep watching and applying...stay safe everyone🙏👍

Okay, I added the timestamps. I won't name any names but another influencer has said that adding time stamps can hurt your audience's attention rate and this is absolutely not true. I went back and added time stamps on an older video and on a new video. My audience retention rate has tripled. Normally my audience likes the outdoor adventure videos and not so much the informative videos. I added the timestamps and this gave them the option to skip to the information they wanted. I think that giving them the option to skip ahead really benefited me. Timestamps are awesome for a goldfish attention span :) Thank you!

I am thinking about starting a youtube channel based on my experience with breast cancer. I got diagnosed last year October and am currently undergoing chemo. What is prompting me to start youtubing is the reaction I get from friends and family who cannot believe how happy and positive I am. I realised it is the word Cancer is scary to people because they don't know much about it. I want to share my experience, learnings, and thoughts with people who might be facing the same. Came across your videos a few days ago & it has been a great learning tool.

NEED ADVICE! First, love you guys. You are doing a great service to the public. I feel my biggest dilemma right now is the length of time it takes me to produce a video and this is generally due to the platform in which i produce them. Lately, I find myself recording from my phone and editing on the Cyberlink Power Director app, which i love because of the very user friendly interface, loads of cool animations and features, stickers and compatibility on the use of keyboard emojis. This is great but, i am editing on my little phone. For my PC, i use Adobe Premiere Elements 2018. The editing is pretty standard and straight forward but i feel the features are old, outdated and not exciting. I can't use emojis or get new stickers, so i find myself transferring my video onto my phone, edit it and then send it back onto my PC. One of my biggest issues is rendering with adobe, especially when i speed up a clip or slow it down, it throws off the audio and doesn't fix itself, so i can't use the feature. At the same breath, i may not know that program really well. My question would be, what video editing program should i be using? I see power director also has a desktop version and i have no idea if it's as good as the app. I also see a variety of newer Adobe but have no idea which one will be better for me. I also have another channel called Practical Eats, a cooking channel that i often make with my kids, so i like those video to be fun. I don't have a proper camera for shooting so i was going to invest in the Samson go mic for mobile. Not sure if that is compatible with anything other than a phone, but if i can find a descent camera, at a reasonable price, i wont get the GO mic. Your thoughts? Sorry for long message. I am lost in this crossroad of stepping up my youtube game

I do have a question though. This is one of the biggest enigmas of KZbin for me. Why is it some people in my niche can post anything and everything and be successful? They get amazing views, they grow quickly, and they post things that are all over the place; routines vlogs, cleaning, etc. But then there are other moms and people in my niche that have to stick to one niche (cleaning usually) and if we post anything other than than that our channel slows down tremendously and our views are horrible? I do not understand. Please share some insight if you have any. Please!

Hi! I actually just discovered you and have subscribed to your channel. I'm really hoping I can learn a lot from your videos. To say that I have put in a major amount of work over the years is an understatement! Yet, the on line approach is very new to me, very overwhelming, and seems all over the place in terms of how to correctly navigate to become successful at it. My background is in early childhood, and I am posting videos of read alouds for young audiences as well as informational videos for teachers, parents, etc on how to become the best storytellers in the classroom and at home that they can. My plan is to create additional videos that all center around emergent and early reading strategies.

12:50 in a moment you're about to say that the top one on the screen gets clicked the most. I've seen studies where just a little down from the top actually gets clicked on more. You weren't number one, but Google knew more people would click a little down the screen and they knew they could trust your content. The real no. 1 spot isn't the top and first spot. You're information is so frequently so good, so highly watched for retention, that in my professional SEO opinion, you got the real top spot.

What a great video - my biggest takeaway was adding in the timestamps. I have never done that - but I will be going to add some pinned comments with that information. Thanks for the value-added content.

I'm in the makeup and beauty niche! Last year I made a video that got ranked on Google, for the Revolution Reloaded Red Alert Palette. It's my most viewed video! 😊
