Co-sign nearly every single decision on this kit. Only thing I would suggest is trading in the sm7b for the mv7. At nearly 1/3 of the cost when taking into account the cloud lifters and able to work with one single chord if doing anything digitally (which by the way, riverside is absolutely the truth), it can still do XLR in put for in person recording. I’ve sold 4 sm7b’s from our team and swapped them all out to mv7’s! Great lineup, Omar!

Great vid - thank you so much. I am shooting with my long-deprecated Samsung NX1 and an HDMI capture card. The Samung NX glass is pure gold. But onto something more relevant: What you "forgot" to mention is .... the colour of the table. The white tabletop beautifully bounces the light and fills in any shadows caused by light from the top, creating a much softer look. So to anyone out there wanting a fresh, happy studio look, consider a white tabletop.

Sm7b was an industry standard in broadcast for decades and made famous by its use on the Thriller album. Engineer Bruce swedien says it worked perfectly for Michael Jackson’s hee,s and whoos which was over 40 years ago. Proceed.

I was recommended the a6600, any suggestions or reasons not to buy it and get the A7s3 instead? 2. Depending on which 2nd cam I get, which lens should one use considering the b-cam will be a close-up/portrait shot. currently, looking at the Sigma 56MM F1.4F.. thoughts?
