I started filming my intro’s and outro’s AFTER the video itself is edited and done. It makes it easier to set up what’s happening in the video and outro is just a summary and plugs. Makes it easier. Not so much faster but your overall quality of content will improve. Take care! Hope it helps someone. ✌️

I started tinkering with Resolve after the peanut butter and jelly tutorial you did. That was an excellent beginner tutorial. How about a very beginner Fusion effects for the PB&J video.

I use Capcut, Camtaisa and the Microsoft Clipchamp. Each has specific features unique to each. However I really like the audio scrubbing and enhancement features in Capcut.

CapCut is more efficient at utilizing disk space than Final Cut... I still don’t understand how/why FCP consumes so much disk space.

All the talk about editing seems to be too tech minded to me, and time is our most valuable asset. Why not just leverage your time and source out editing and have changes made by folks that are more on task and knowledgeable. Budget yes, is an issue that seriously needs to be addressed and considered but as a beginner and someone that values what time I am blessed with, the various programs and software mentioned seem too much and would possbly lead to frustration and disappointment . Thanks for your evaluation though as the information will be of great value to many others who may not think the same way as just mentioned...🙏

That is a good strategy for some! I do think having the knowledge to edit is a valuable skillset, even if you do decide to hire someone eventually

What, no Wondershare/Filmora?😅 Im stuck using it as an editing software atm. I have over 150 videos edited on it and feel like Im stuck with it now. Im thinking about switching over to either paid CapCut or DaVinci but its hard to find the time to relearn new software...😢

I used Filmora Go for the first 4 yrs. Then wondershare bought it & screwed it all up! I could not follow it anymore. I have TBI (Tramatic Brain Injury) & editing is a struggle. When Filmora glitches non stop & would close out all the time, I would lose my entire project! It was infuriating! I finally tried to uninstall the app in order to re install it in hopes that would fix the glitching. Then SURPRISE! It was no longer compatible with my phone! 😢 I had no way to edit! I was devastated! I can't afford to pay for a good editing app. So I searched...for 2 YEARS! And I finally found Splice! It was the only FREE app I could navigate & had all the features I wanted & was used to with Filmora! So I decided to pay the one time fee of $20.00 for lifetime use & got it on all of my devices! I still use it to this day & love it! Only hitch? Shutterfly bought a lot of the songs that come with the app. So I started getting copyright claims on the songs. These will make it impossible to ever monetize a video. I was able to scrub them out using YT studio on my laptop & replace with music from the YT library, without having to take the video down to fix it, which would have cost me all views, comments & likes, so that was nice. I still use splice to edit, but I had to remove YT Studio app off my phone so it would allow me to go to the desktop YT Studio library, to download songs that are copyright free onto my phone, which I can use through the Splice app. Been great ever since! 😃 So in conclusion, Splice is a great, simple editing app that's great for beginners, but if you ever want to monetize, NEVER use the music in the app! ALWAYS download songs from KZbin Studio, Music Library! As for feeling trapped, just save the videos on an SSD drive on your pc.. Then you won't lose them if you decide to leave Filmora. Hope this helps! 😉

It might be worth looking at the videos by Daniel Batal. I haven't watched a lot of them, but he was (I believe) an official partner with Filmora until he made videos about the controversy and they tried to strike his video. He now is all in on DaVinci and makes tutorials for it, which means they're made by someone coming from a Filmora background, so that might end up helpful to you. But I definitely get where you're coming from. I haven't done a lot of video yet, but when I have I've used Premiere. I'd like to move to DaVinci but it's so much time to learn something new. Plus I still have to pay for Adobe until I find and learn replacements for Photoshop and Illustrator...

Great advice here! Understanding your software is key, but if you feel you are outgrowing it, it's worth relearning a new tool, in my opinion!
