@@ThinkMediaTV I already have the DJI mic 2 and love it. Probably going to get the mini as well mainly for the fact I feel it would be a better fit size wise for my four year-old son when we are out on the course or the driving range sometimes the mic 2 is just too big for him to wear and gets tangled up or in his way when golfing.

As a former recording artist, I'm a big pain in the a** when it comes to sound quality. The overwhelming winner of the audio testing of these 2 mics done in this video is unquestionably the DJI Mic 2. It definitely has a wider range with far better tonal quality throughout, as well as having much brighter highs without sounding "tinny." Thanks for an excellent presentation.

For many of the reasons you mentioned, I went with the Mic Mini. I love the size and weight of it, and as somebody who intends to be doing a lot of walking with it, that's important. I can tell you, the Mic Mini is quite a step up from my Rode Wireless Go where I really hated the weight of the transmitter on my shirt and purchased a battery powered lav mic to pair with the transmitter. The problems being occasionally, I would forget to either turn the lav mic's power on when recording, or forget to turn the power off and run the battery down. This required me to always have a supply of coin batteries on hand. I only got the Mic Mini earlier this week and have only had the chance to use it in the last clip of one video and a couple of test videos, but so far, I'm very happy with the results to this point.

Good video, I have a question regarding which of the 2 microphones to choose. My idea is to use it in a motovlog. Together with a DJI camera (this way I save cables and losing watertightness) I thought it was better to use the DJI Mic 2 because it could have internal 32-bit recording and be able to use a lavalier microphone. But now because of the size I don't know which one would be better. Thank you very much and keep it up.

I will share my POV here just in case someone is on the same channel as me. I have got the Pocket 3 Combo that comes with 1 transmitter of DJI Mic 2. I debate for a long time should I get DJI Mic Mini so that I can use the receiver to plug on my Pocket 3 and have 2 transmitters instead. More over, I can use it on my camera (A7IV) or even my iPhone 16 Pro. However, I slowly realised, it would be a hassle to fumble with the connection although you may think it's just plug and play, what's so troublesome about right? I use Pocket 3 extensively now, and to plug the transmitter at the back of the USB port while holding it, it's such a pain in the a**. If I connect it to my iPhone just to record the audio, might as well, I get a Lexar SSD + Hub to record ProRes on my iPhone right? It's also a no brainer, if I connect to A7IV and record just audio, might as well I record videos from my A7IV too? Need not mention, no 32bit float, no internal recording, no 3.5mm for lav mic. I think I am just better off get another DJI Mic 2 transmitter to pair with Pocket 3 instead so I have 2 transmitters auto connect to my Pocket 3 as soon as I turn on. They sounds wayyyyy better too. Just my 2 cents.

I’ve got the mic mini and mic 2 (that came with the pocket 3). I got the mini because I do bike vlogging (on another channel) on my action 4 and don’t enjoy having the mic 2 attached cuz it does feel like noticeable weight. I’m just speaking so it sounds good enough to me. Cannot discern much of a difference but I’m not too concerned with sound quality as long as it’s not terrible.

@SuzoSenpai3 күн бұрын
@ definitely! But the smaller details like if it can be activated through the buttons on the mic, memo app, receiver, or DJI device. I don’t think the DJI Mic 2 has a clipping option available like the Mini does. I haven’t seen or heard of it considering it has 32bit float but that requires editing on the event of clipping which isn’t ideal if you want clip-free audio baked straight into the video. The Rode wireless pro mics have an auto gain option and record 32bit float internally, I thought the DJI Mic 2 would do the same based off of what was said in this video.

I think mic mini is a winner by every case, because no matter what you guys think, DJI MIC and MIC2 products are NOT professional products. Audio quality is just not there. So they are both just consumer products and which is why mic mini wins and make more sense in every way.

I already have the DJI Mic2 and love it. As a matter of fact, it has already replaced three of my other microphones, two Rode mics and one Movo. I think if you did a test on the DJI Mic2 and compared them to a similarly priced boom mic and desktop mic, you'll probably find that the DJI Mic2, might be the one "mic to rule them all" for most creators. And yeah, I love LoTR references. 😅😅

I was absolutely disappointed when I discover that Dji mic mini exists😮 I've bought Dji mic 2 two months ago and I've enjoyed it using with Dji Osmo camera, but I have the white mic which I've bought separately (I needed this actual color). So now I've discovered this DJI mini version, and if I knew, I'll better buy this one. But also I've found that my fintess KZbin collegues use Hollyland Lark 2 and this is a game changer! And it crashed the "mini" form of DJI mini completely! (and yes, I need it then!))
@ty-k67083 күн бұрын
I really like the idea, but I think DJI messed up. They should have made it so these transmitters were compatible with the Mic 2s system so Sony users can continue using their wireless options instead of having to buy into an entirely new system just to get a smaller transmitter.
