Iam from Arunachal Pradesh. I can clearly say that the Central Govt. provides us with lots of funding for development activity but local politicians and beauracrats of our state are so corrupt that facilities dont reach us in ground level. Arunachalis are proud indians.

As a resident of Siliguri or the so called Siliguri Corridor, I can say that the development projects under the National Government is at a rapid pace. It outnumbers the development done by the state governments in the last two decades. The six lane lighways, flyovers, tunnels, aviation sector, the development can be felt by the residents of the Chicken Neck of our India. I Hope that the people from other part of our country recognize as and we are given the same treatment as the other developing states. Also as a friend, I would advice my fellow citizens to visit the Seven Sisters and feel the divine beauty of the North East.

I was wondering about North-Eastern states and the problems faced by the people there because of harsh climatic conditions and what the govt is doing to solve them to ease their lives. Because they're the citizens of our country as much as we are and it's our responsibility to look out for them. You gave an insightful view and resolved my queries and questions. In this video you have missed one of the key point. In India there is an opposition party as well as several militant groups. Whereas in China, it is unopposed. No opposition parties and no extreme militant groups. This makes it easy for China to take and implement decisions. The same isn't the case with India..

Hi Ganesh, thanks for covering the North East. I was sceptical initially add to what you were presenting. But the video was good. One thing you must understand is that the people of the North East are patriots. While the armed struggles were a reality, today the scene is quite different. Further, China cannot counter India in war. We are much more prepared. They may have fancy equipments but their soldiers don't have the balls to bust India. The region could have been quite different if the center hadn't had a step motherly treatment. What the current government is doing needs to continue for another 10 years.

Central Government can't force the local leaders. This is the first batch of progress and relationship is still in the fragile state with the current leaders. It will the same until next group of politicians emerges, who have travel and stay in the mainland.

Sikkim has seen a very huge dip in fertility rate compared to mortality rate. We've recently started higher income packages and free childcare for employed women who are willing to have more than one child.

I visited northeast state in year 2011 . And trust me it is very beautiful . Some points i want to highlight are 1. People are educated and humble 2. People are progressive , modern yet culturally rooted to their traditions, which i admire the most. 3 A large population of youth , easy to connect with 4 A good music can be heard 5 Many beautiful destinations 6 Excellent hospitality everywhere 7 Food 8 Spirituality 9 Sunsets are so amazing in these states And there are so many . Every young Indian should have atleast 1 month holiday to visit these states once in lifetime. Now infrastructure has improved significantly so it is very easy to connect . No regrets at all
