@just chill She leads a normal life that WE know of, that SHE TOLD Bobby and Donna. For all we know, she's an ordinary woman, 'the girl next door' killing people and just hasn't been caught. I really think she sold her soul to Satan because she knew she could never get revenge on Margaret and five years on death row changed her. I never really believed her character was that 'good two shoes' and had a hidden dark layer underneath.

The fact that Lily Rabe’s character went from being a cold-blooded killer, who hated her son, to being mommy and grandmommy dearest is just one example of how patched together this season’s storyline was 🤣 Also, wasn’t she the reason there was a curse? So if she found happiness, why are all the ghosts still stuck? It made no sense.
@MissAJ-here
@MissAJ-here 5 жыл бұрын
Lauren Weems I understand why she felt at peace so suddenly, she spent so long as a ghost looking for her dead son, hating her living son and everyone she feels is to be blamed for Bobby’s death. But Ben “found” bobby bringing him back to her. Bobby is all she wanted. But yeah i agree If she found peace and her hatred and the blood she spilled caused the curse shouldn’t the curse be lifted now that she found her bobby. Would have made more scenes to have her being reunited with bobby being one of the last scenes ending the curse releasing everyone from purgatory
@hakatapawa7115
@hakatapawa7115 5 жыл бұрын
She isn't exactly the reason why all the souls are trapped here. She indeed started the killings but the souls are not bound to the place because of her only. The countless killings did curse the place if we consider the other seasons with ghosts. But yeah they should have done something with the ending. I would have loved a crossover with the witch from Roanoke for example.

When it comes to Jingles reappearing, I think they explained it in The lady in white episode. His mom said that, in 1970, she « felt » something special when Jingles was around. She just knew her own flesh was there. It’s easy, from there, to understand why Jingles felt that his own flesh was at Camp Redwood AND in danger.

In my opinion, this finale episode should have been set in 2009, twenty years after 1989. Bobby would be around the right age to want to find answers about his father. Richard Ramirez could then have been "missing" for twenty years, instead of thirty. Due to his constant resurrections, he's never technically dead, so he still ages, so he'd now be played by the actor from Hotel. Maybe we could have a montage from 1989 to 2009, with Zach Villa gradually turning into Anthony Ruivivar. While Chef Bertie and Xavier are on watch duty, they get a little steamy (oh, he does know what to do with it now he's got it), allowing Richard Ramirez time to escape from the campgrounds. Meanwhile, Bobby is being chased by Margaret Booth, before being rescued by Mr. Jingles, who tells him to leave. They embrace, a proper father and son bonding moment, before Margaret is resurrected and "murders" Jingles. Bobby manages to escape as all the ghosts band together to attack Margaret. As he leaves the campgrounds (and thus the threshold), he looks back, seeing his father, grandmother, and uncle, all looking back at him with pride. As he goes to leave, he suddenly spits up blood -- he's been stabbed in the back by Richard Ramirez. Bobby tries to crawl back towards the campgrounds, to be with his family, while all they can do is watch on helplessly. Ramirez just finds this whole act amusing, he taunts Jingles that "No one beats the Devil.", Jingles swears to kill him but Ramirez reminds him that he can't cross the threshold to do it. Bobby manages to get near the gate of the camp, his fingers interlocking with his fathers, but before Jingles can pull him into the campgrounds Ramirez stabs Bobby in the head, killing him instantly. Ramirez's victory is short-lived, however, as the blue/red lights of the local police shine behind him. Ramirez is arrested and returned to his cell where he'll eventually die of cancer. As the police car, containing Ramirez drives away from the camp, we see all the ghosts watching him leave, mournful for the loss of Bobby. However since Bobby managed to get his fingers over the threshold of the camp, he technically died in Camp Redwood, allowing him to reunite with his family. A bitter-sweet ending for the season.

The story just isn't enough. No one has a full story.. Mr. Jingles sorta. But that was hardly satisfying. The happy ending is B's because his mom really took advantage of him to get her Bobby back. Did it really help ehh don't know he could have fought and died still ghosted after or killed Ramirez and actually survive. All the murders early on and who is the killer...turns out.almost everyone.. was what I thought silly intro fun. I really started to believe the film in film theory only to explain why they went so wild without real plot content. It is fun if you literally don't care for any mystery and just like the looks and classic murders.

Did anyone think Donna and Brooke's final handshake seemed weirdly suspicious? Like Donna was hiding something or knew something about Brooke that we didn't? I also didn't really believe that Donna "watched Brooke die" - she saw Brooke was on the floor, screamed and then ran. I thought she might have been saying that to cover something else up.

She woke up the min he kissed her! Notice when Trevor dies in Montana’s hand she didn’t kiss him so he just died! Then after Brooke got and he helped to the opening of the camp she fell over and he hunched over like something passed between the both of them! I have a feeling she doesn’t look old because of a specific reason!

One of my biggest beefs is that, in episodes 7/8, it seemed strongly suggested that reuniting Lavinia and Bobby was the key to at least understanding the curse (if not breaking it, which the ghosts wanted to do). They were reunited (apparently with Jingles being an important piece of the puzzle?), and it seemed like they reached some other part of the afterlife beyond the camp and the other ghosts. As you asked, where did Jingles come from after 30 years, especially since it seemed like he went somewhere else? How did Lavinia or Bobby ultimately contribute to our understanding of the curse? We know it started with Lavinia, and that she pushed Margaret over the edge to commit the 1970 massacre. She seems "at peace" because she has Bobby, but nothing really changed. Also, Bobby wasn't a regular ghost until the last episode, and now he's apparently just like all the others. I wonder why he was kind of there in the lake as that corpse man?

@Caeljharden
@Caeljharden 5 жыл бұрын
So. Many. Missed opportunities.. 1). They could’ve brought Dylan McDermott back as a young Bloody Face Jr and this could’ve been the start of his serial killer journey... 2). Brooke’s ending was so fuckin stupid. I would’ve much preferred there being a bigger plot twist, and someone we least expected was the one sending Bobby money. Or at the very least it would’ve been badass if Brooke FINALLY accepted Satan’s offer and that’s why she survived. It would’ve also been a WAY better way to explain why she still looks 20 at age 50-60 instead of throwing in that she married a dermatologist... I don’t care how good a dermatologist he is, no 60 year old woman is gonna look 20 😂 3). Since it was Halloween night, the scene where Ray takes Brooke to the entrance after she got shot and then passed out just outside Camp could’ve been the PERFECT way for Ray to discover the ghosts can leave camp and rejoin the living for one night, and it would’ve given the other ghosts a happy ending.. especially Montana since she constantly talks about how she feels like she’s missing so much of the outside world. The scene was set up PERFECTLY to do this. Especially when Brooke fainted, it would’ve been epic for Ray to freak out because he loved her and ran out of the camp grounds to take her to the hospital.. but nope. It also would’ve given Jingles, Bobby, other Bobby, and Grandma a chance to be a family again at least for one night a year. 4). Satan was a pretty big part of this season, and since it takes place in, and just outside of LA, they could’ve shown Ramirez and Mr. Jingles visit the church of Satan or something when they left Camp Redwood. Or at the very least make some kind of reference to the satanists plotting the birth of the antichrist in the future. Ugh. This season had so much potential and for a while it was very quickly becoming my favorite season.. and then this bullshit happened... not only that, but what the fuck happened to Ramirez? Last time we saw him, the ghosts were holding him back so he couldn’t get Bobby... and they literally have a 24/7 watch on him so they can kill him again when he comes back each time.... so are they just stuck doing that for the rest of eternity? If so, how the fuck was Ramirez able to visit Hotel in season 5? Lol. And Bobby knows Ramirez wants him dead and has the literal devil in him..but Bobby is now completely unbothered and is just like “oh well 🤷🏼‍♂️ I got to see my dead dad, uncle, & grandma.. I don’t mind there’s an immortal satanic lunatic serial killer who’s main goal is to slowly torture and kill me heh” ...and clearly the whole Ghost Watch is flawed.. Ramirez was able to escape once, and has all of eternity to do it again. Just seems stupid. Like I said.. SO MANY MISSED OPPORTUNITIES and plot holes.

I definitely think that we will know more about how Brooke survived and stayed out of camp redwood in upcoming seasons, remember that Montana said it was the purgatory, if Brooke managed to make it out of there is because she maybe made a pact with the devil, also remember that Richard tried to tempt her when they were in jail, so maybe at the end she did agreed to it.

I just read something from Murphy saying that season 10 will likely be the last and he has reached out to fan favorites from the first few seasons to come back and they all said yes. You know that probably means Lily Rabe, Evan Peters Sarah Paulson, Dylan Mcdermott, Emma Thompson, Taissa Farmiga and hopefully Kathy Bates, Angela Basset, and really hopefully Jessica Lange. I also cant forget Frances Conroy who I met once during the time she was on Six Feet Under and was one of the nicest people I ever met. There's also Zachary Quinto and Denis O Hare I'd like to see. If it's the final season I could see them all coming back in one capacity or another. No clue about what season is yet though, I had personally hoped for the far future on a space ship like the movie alien. I'd say that the show has covered the full spectrum of horror movie villains just never done sci fi horror, or at at the very least we get answers about the ghost curse and all of the trapped spirits at the various settings are set free.

I loved the season maybe because I was a teenager in the 80s so this was like stepping back in time for me. They nailed it on that part-the rest of it I liked but it just sort of felt rushed at the ending. It was all tied up in a nice little bow which was OK but it just felt like it was missing something- I’m not really sure what. As I’ve said 100 times before the real Billy Idol on here would’ve been awesome. After all we got to see Stevie Nicks so Billy Idol would’ve been the cherry on the Sundae. It was definitely good, it just left me wanting something else. I am in agreement that you said you loved the Campiness of it. That’s what some people are missing here. If you saw these movies that’s what they were. They were scary but they were mostly pure camp. The Friday the 13th, the nightmare on Elm Street’s etc. etc. This show looks exactly like one of those movies. Maybe that’s also why it was so close to my heart. ❤️ Best kill-Margaret in the wood chipper. Very Fargo-esq.Loved it

-Margaret said she died before her head hit the woodchipper, but it seems weird to have that line in addition to a shot of the wind blatantly blowing her puree back into the camp. -So how did Ramirez make it to March's dinner if he's stuck in Redwood? On the subject of throwaway lines, a simple "But one night a year he just disappears, we're not sure how or why" would have been fine. -Lavinia being redeemed but the Redwood still being a purgatory seems odd, but on the other hand, it is the sight of multiple murders and massacres. It's reasonable that Lavinia started the curse, and all the other deaths cemented the curse beyond Lavinia's actions.

So glad I found this channel... while I realized it wasn’t for everybody, it got me watching for the first time, since Freakshow. This episode aside from a couple of things, actually makes sense and you should have a reverence for 80s slashers, at least for me to really appreciate this season. While some of the red herrings were so blatantly obvious, I figured that was the point of it. While Richards “fate” , the longing for the ghosts to find a way out of Redwood and how Jonas was able to leave Camp Redwood every time are minor plot holes that will baffle me for awhile, they are still in line with the slasher genre. Not everything made sense (to this day I wonder what happened to Paul from Friday the 13th pt 2) 😂😂😂 The music was used perfectly and the ending actually threw me and I’m ok with it. I don’t think it took away from the story and it was still a way to be different if you have the actors to pull it off. Lily Rabe, John Lynch and Billie Lourd were amazing! The rest of the cast was great as well. ❤️ Margaret and glad she will spend eternity at Camp Hellhole succumbing to never ending death for decades to come.😂 If I had one complaint, I wish we had more Bertie. However Thanxs to Ahs1984, I will never forget their take on Strip Pictionary...😂😂😂😊🔪👍🏻😱😳🏃🏻🏃🏻‍♀️ and I’m glad that Emma was the final girl, finally....

And I’m pretty sure at one point Jingles was trying to say he wasn’t the one to do it but didn’t get to finish what he was saying. Loved this season! (Especially mimicking the campiness of 80’s flicks!) In my top 3 for sure! (Actually, probably my second favorite behind “Hotel”, with “Asylum” a VERY close third!) Sure, there are always a few questions left, & no season is perfect, but hey, VERY few shows are. Honestly, as a HUGE 80’s horror fan, this was the season I’ve been waiting for now, 8 long years. And I liked the nice ending, which is also kind of reminiscent of the 80’s movies they were mimicking. Gotta say, one of my favorite moments (& there were LOTS!) was the homage to the original Friday the 13th, with Benji being pulled out of the boat & into the water. Loved it, and was pretty sure it was coming sooner or later...lol. This season was clearly a love letter to 80’s culture, specifically slasher movies. And they BRILLIANTLY used 80’s music to add to the story! My only somewhat big complaint was it should have been at LEAST 10 episodes, so they could have explained things better, & had more of what happened during & immediately after the festival. And I was REALLY disappointed we didn’t get to at least see a few more performers, like the Go-Go’s, Rick Springfield & of course Billy Idol! (Wouldn’t Evan Peters have made a fantastic Billy?!) I didn’t need to see them perform, just make an appearance. Overall, I’d give this season a 9/10, & it would have gotten a 10 if they had of added another episode or two, explaining better the lingering questions. And I was expecting a cameo (one scene maybe) with Sarah Paulson playing her reporter persona, Lana Winters, maybe as a reporter doing a story on the massacre. Side note: As far as Brooke looking so good at roughly 50, have you seen some celebs at 50+? With a bit of money, a LOT of Botox & plastic surgery, it could be easy! Also, IRL Leslie Grossman is 48, (looks 30-33 at best) Sarah Paulson is 44, Lily Rabe is 37, & the gorgeous Angela Basset is 61! Yes, SIXTY ONE! So, could Brooke look 30 at age 50? You betcha! lol

I feel like it’s pretty clear that seasons 1,3,5, and 8 exist in a separate universe than seasons 2,4,6,7, and 9. It was already hinted at with the fact that the Zodiac shows up to Devils Night and yet the Zodiac was mentioned in season 7 to be the SCUM cult, and was hinted at the fact that the seasons seemed to share no personal connection other than a few simple elements like the blood moon or witchcraft. I think this season completely proves this hypothesis, considering that Richard Ramirez died in 2013 in Hotel’s universe and was much older, and he continues to survive in this universe. Also the tone differences between the two groups of seasons are pretty obvious. With season 9 being the only true outlier, seasons 2,4,6, and 7 are all pretty serious and dark, whereas seasons 1,3,5, and 8 are much more lighthearted.

Margaret was able to res because she still died on the property. She died when her head went into contact w the blades of the chipper. She even said it herself. I believe the ghosts can be seen by who they want to be seen by. They discussed that earlier in the season. I believe it was when jingles was looking for his mother. Potentially jingles didn't want to be seen. He was in the closest place to a heaven he was gonna get. Finally being reunited with his brother and a mother who is actually showing him love and affection. He had no need or want to show himself to anyone until his son was in danger. I think Margaret was lying about jingles location. Just trying to drop his guard so she could get her revenge, but then jingles shows up out of nowhere to save him. Really good season though. My favorite by far. However the ending was rushed and i would have liked to have seen it go a few more episodes.

So I know there’s a roaming pothole going around after the finale of 1984. And after I did some thinking I couldn’t come up with any way to get rid of it. As you know, Richard Ramirez is said to have died of leukemia in 2013 in hotel… That’s why he’s able to go to the hotel Cortez in 2015 and 2022. But with this new 1984 Canon,it suggests that Richard died in 1989. The only explanation that I can think of is that Satan split Richards soul in half so that only half of his soul escaped prison and went to camp redwood, while the other half stayed in prison and gained cancer. Why wouldn’t Satan just bring Richard back after getting cancer? Maybe there are a limit to his powers and he can’t bring someone back after they die of natural causes… I don’t know this could explain why there was an older actor who played him in hotel
