It support OBD2, so it would be support if the car after 1996. Can you tell us what's your car model and year number?

The Pros will scan ODB1 so it should do cars back to the 80s… Comes with some ODB1 adapters…

do you know what the cables that come with it are for? I know there are other OBD plugs for other makes and models, but what are the battery clips for? the cigarette lighter plug? there is no plug that i can find to let those charge the unit.

Hello Brian, If customer worry lost/hurt the Dongle, they can use the OBD2 cable to connect the Dongle. You can use USB cable charge for the device. For other accessories, please read the paper instructions. You probably won't use then a lot, but sometimes you need them.

not all cars are supported by that thinktool pros and it needs a subscription to use bidirectional functions.example EGR reset Toyota is not supported even the cylinder compression test.
