I did not know I had any issues. I ran sfc /scannow and got unrepairable corrupt file. I ran DISM.exe as you suggested and it claimed to make repairs. I rebooted and ran sfc /scannow again. This time it claimed to make repairs. I rebooted and ran again. This time it was a clean sweep. Thanx!

@@RobertSoer I would say avoid those softwares.. they do nothing but delete registry files which is unnecessary, hogs system resources and only beg you to upgrade to their pro/ultimate varients... If you are really running out of space, use disk cleanup .. for fast startup, get a ssd and remove some startup programs ⚡ I hope this helps..

What I used to do when ram was at a premium on a pc was to set the pagefile size minimum equal to its maximum. Basically carve out a static block of space on the hdd. I usually set the max low under os control, defrag the hdd, then go back and up the min/max equal. Saved a little processing of os trying to allocate space and size.

Thank you, I'm a DJ, I switched to digital djing in 2009. First & foremost I'm a 57 yr old man in Detroit Mi. who grew up achieving academic rewards (basically labeled smart lol). I purchased my first computer in the early 90's (94) & it was windows 3.1.1 (which should have been labeled DOS/user-friendly lol). Due to being the only one in the family with a computer at the time, it created another issue. After several family & friends would use it while I was at work I would come home to a computer problem. It forced me to learn DOS so I could repair my pc. Anyhow fast forward to 2009, not having allot to spend on a top of the line laptop I dealt with the slow, 4 gig cheap unit. This produced a need to learn (since I really hadn't used a computer in yrs) how to maximize a cheap laptop since at the time & still to this day I'm a resident DJ every fri & sat since 2009 & I needed to be able to expect a certain level of performance. Just know you have been a reliable resource of mine when I need to research a problem. Thank you again & keep up the excellent work.

Hi Thio, Great tip with ReadyBoost. It helps my 7 year old laptop immensely . I thought I would pass this tip along to you. You can repurpose smaller SATA SSD's by using them to do pagefile work. I am using a SATA to USB cable and enclosure and my laptop recognizes the 500g ssd attached and allows me to move my pagefile to that drive. It does speed things up a bit and also reduces competition for r/w time on the root drive.

Hey TJ, I've come across to this problem on my computer where it is starting to take more RAM than usual and causing memory leaks after a custom clean install of Windows 10. Well, I forgot to do a backup on my files but I've updated all of the drivers using DriverEasy and DriverBooster and redownloaded the Intel Graphics Control Panel (which was in the laptop before I custom clean install the Windows). I just wanted some suggestions on what I did wrong and how can I fix it. Maybe you can do a video about it on how to perform a correct custom clean install and what are the things should I download after the clean install something like BIOS or anything that is related to unusual memory leaks.

@ranaprash
@ranaprash 3 жыл бұрын
@@LIAurora2267 Yeah, you are correct. If you keep your laptop plugged in all the time, soon or later your laptop's battery would be less efficient and someday it would completely stop working lol And yes, I used to keep my laptop plugged in all the time because my laptop's battery was already dead and the ultimate performance plan was pretty effective in terms of the balanced performance one. You can still keep using your laptop plugged in and having your battery removed from it though, at least that would save your battery from being damaged.

2:33 Very well said if you are using a laptop that is plugged in to the wall at all times like me I recommend changing brightness to 75% and using balanced, I've been using those settings since 2017 never had any issues with my battery.

I like either an all black build, or a build with some rgb. It gets to a point where theres too much rgb. For example I've always hated Strimer cables. But i like rgb on: Fans Ram Gpu Case lights
