The Q&A portion of this video contains so much good information and answers that you share regularly (and frequently). If you clipped them out and published them as standalone videos, you and others could refer people to them.

I wanna tell you something and I’m not being offensive…I’ve watched you here and there and your knowledge interest me. What set you apart is the humbleness. When I first heard you use curse words it just didn’t seem like you. (And you don’t curse much) I’m not your mom but I care like I am. Stay humble and set apart from the rest…Be different, it’s a rarity in these times we’re living in. You have something special and I believe it’s because you care.

Thanks for sharing informative information. I experienced heat damage multiple times. I miss my long locks. I have chosen to go natural. If only you were near my state I'd make an appointment for my natural hair for two-strand twists. I like the that you use grease/water than gel.

What exactly led you to go back to just grease at 2:04:50 ?
@AfrikanHairGod2 күн бұрын
I felt that the mimosa hair honey wouldn't be heavy enough for his hair. Because of all his damage present, I wanted a product like actual grease to not only provide moisture but to really coat and lubricate the strands to protect it from further damage. In short it's just heavier and offers more protection for his compromised hair.

Beautiful work! I have really thick hair and before I locked my hair I used to do my own twists and they never looked this thick and juicy. They looked so wilted until like the third day. I think I was twisting mine tighter-not too tight but like more compact. I love my locs but I wonder if I should have tried your technique.

The plantbased diet may be contributing to the breakage. My hair went through considerable damage and became brittle when I was plantbased.
@AfrikanHairGod2 күн бұрын
I think for him it's moreso just more damage present at the top. Most ppls hair is like that. I would be more inclined to think that if it was more sporadic across his hair and not so centralized. I usually resort to internal imbalances when everything else doesn't line up or make sense. I think with the way his damage was sitting before and how he's been lacking in his care, they both confounded his current situation

When you go vegan, you have to eat a wide variety of foods to be healthy. Even when you're a meat eater. A lot of people cut out animal byproduct but don't make sure they have a balanced diet.

I have noticed that a lot of the stylists who blow dry hair on KZbin the blown out hair is extremely shinny but it does not look like oil at all that they use.
@IvyMercedes16872 күн бұрын
It’s the serum that’s making it shiny

Yeah I keep products light for blowouts and I never really blow out the hair to its fullest extent. I've damaged hair from just blowdrying years ago so I'm careful not to be as excessive as I was then
@mikkelmoore73742 күн бұрын
Why do you apply the grease like that? Not sure if im doing something wrong but when im twisting my hair i usually just run the grease between my two palms and rub it all over a section of hair that im working with. Is that too much?
@AfrikanHairGod2 күн бұрын
I like to allow the product to smooth into my clients hair as I'm styling to prevent over applying. I've never really had an issue with it. Less it more with heavier products. The way you apply might be enough for you.

I am really hunting for this answer because it doesn't make sense to me. I think blow drying the hair and not heat styling or doing any other style afterward is completely healthy, but I have heard that this will lead to breakage and damage. Narada, you clarify what the truth is? Is it ok for me to blow dry my hair and wear it that way for a week, or am I going to damage my hair?

Hi AfrikanHairGod: Do you have a playlist on parting? Specifically sectioning, like before you started this gentleman's twists?
@AfrikanHairGodКүн бұрын
No I don't. I just create the framework for the grand scheme of the style and build off of it. Create large sections and make subsections within each of those sections

What hair styles do you recommend after wash/condition/leave-in with waist length hair? (Other than cornrows, box braids, two strand twist)
@AfrikanHairGod19 сағат бұрын
I don't recommend styles for people. Styles are a matter of personal preference. I find that confined low maintenence styles do best with health and condition

@Narada, Q: how do you keep your d38 from losing teeth? I cant afford to buy a new one every couple months. I love x10 the d38 but its pricey and the teeth fall so easily.

Mine aren't falling out. I have like 10+ brushes. Maybe a handful have lost one or two bristles but they generally don't have that issue with me
