When I watched this for the first time with my eldest brother it changed my brain chemistry, im obsessed with everything, the sketches of the ghosts, the glass house, and even recommend the split kill scene to be shown in my biology class senior year to show what a frontal plane looks like 🙂 also the channel Marvelous Videos has a good video explaining every ghosts story 🫶
@MultiGreenG2 ай бұрын
It would be kind of cool if they decide to make the tv show and have 13 episodes. Each ghost gets their own episode, because at the end of this movie all of the ghost are left wondering outside so it would make sense that the spirits would go find new people to terrorize out in the world, only this time they arent going to be contained with the spiritual markings on the glass so the stakes are 10x higher.

That intro to the family was so concise and so impactful: just through sound design, dialogue and prop work, the film gives you the driving tragedy behind the family and the impact it has on their life (and isn't that wall of bills a dash of existential horror to modern audiences).

I never wanna over use this word but talk about fcking ICONIC this movie has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid that early 2000’s horror was just peak entertaining. I wouldn’t be upset at a remake especially with the tech, and practical effects we have now the ghost would look bad ass they have the blue print! If they could do with this what they did with evil dead 2013 I think it would be cool plus anything with Mathew Lillard is a must watch.

Did anyone catch that actor Matthew Lillard(Dennis Rafkin) sounded a bit like SHAGGY ROGERS? I guess THIS is why and how he was casted as the character in the live action Scooby-Doo and its sequel. He even voiced the character as well, which is AWESOME!!!!! Casey Kasem, the OG voice of SHAGGY would've been so proud!!!!😢

I always refer to this movie as “The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo”, which is ironic considering Matthew Lillard is one of its stars. There’s that old saying that people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones - this bunch should have brought boulders! Bobby was a pioneer. Rolling around on his little razor scooter is giving Danny Torrance vibes. I kept waiting for the Grady twins to show up and say, “Come play with us, Bobby. Forever and ever and ever...” Maggie is an absolute icon. We were robbed of a franchise in which Dennis and Maggie investigate haunted locations. I would have watched the heck out of that!

There was bonus featurette on the DVD of Thir13en Ghosts (back in the old days), I think they called the featurette "The Black Zodiac" that told the story of each of the ghosts featured in this movie, narrated by good ole' uncle Cyrus. You can still find it uploaded online. It might still be on KZbin even. Some of the ghosts were evil people in life and some weren't. The Jackal and The Juggernaut were both bad news. I hope they went back to the Underworld or something, instead of just wandering off and k*lling more people.
2 ай бұрын
"That was a really insane opening... I STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED! No I have no clue... But I had a lot of fun!" So they were trying to catch the 12th ghost for Cyrus, the Juggernaut. He's the big BADASS snatching people dick first into cars and cutting them in half with others. The Juggernaut is BY FAR the BIGGEST AND BADDEST of all the ghosts!!! The only other 2 would be like the Hammer and the Jackal. None of the others really try to hurt anyone, except maybe the suicide princess, but she just stalks Shannon Elizabeth around the house, like turning the water into blood that Shannon can't EVEN SEE because she doesn't have any glasses at the time...
