@goodmaro3 жыл бұрын
@@mikephalen3162 In this case I'm sure it wasn't about the score in the usual sense. All sorts of emotions can come out during these games, especially since usually at least some of the coaches are parents of players in it. I can just hear it, "We're up 31-6 and you still aren't putting my son in to finish the game? And what about last week?"

@henry t Is there some place in the WORLD where things work like that?
@lucasneuhaus65703 жыл бұрын
@henry t I live in Illinois. We just happened to have a great program and coaches in the league that got it. Never had an issue with any parents either. One of my nephews played a few years later and at his games the parents all acted like they would rather have been anywhere else. It was really disappointing. A lot of parents would just drop their kids off and leave.
@VideoMyLifeLLC3 жыл бұрын
The conference in which these kids play is, overall, a very well-run, positive organization. With over 40 programs participating, some programs with more than 40 teams in their program, you can see the vast scale of this endeavor. Most of the leagues are in and around Tulsa, Oklahoma, including Jenks, Bixby, Owasso, Broken Arrow, Union and many more, but reach over 100 miles away. Many great programs are represented; you may have heard of some of them if you look up USA Super 25 from time-to-time. Thanks for your comment; the best interest of the kids is paramount!

Welcome to Football Folks! It’s a gladiator sport even with emotions running high with Coaches! Some may say No excuse for behaving like this and you’re right! I however will say communication is key! And we all have the same Human emotions and some just haven’t mastered restraining them. I’ve seen it all in Football and I’m sure these Coaches aren’t Happy or proud of this! Nonetheless majority mean well and are volunteers dedicating so much time to the team they Coach. Don’t think this defines them.

Yes it does. Some people will live their entire lives without assaulting another human being while others will resort to physically harming others. My mother would always remind me of my actions saying "you can't get out of something whats not in it." The display of character is of what was in them and they have to own it.

The kids are like 7/8 years old. This is not a “gladiator” sport by any means. The only thing at risk at this game is the egos of the parents

The white coach had a son that was autistic and was on the bench most of the game and since they were winning the white coach asked the black one could his son get in for the last few minutes the black coach said "no your son is autistic and slow and will never be good at football" so the white one flipped im on the white coaches side. He also had to retire after coaching for 18 years. He later apologized to the kids parents and even THE COACH. He has an excuse

Good thing the guy in the striped shirt in the foreground was there to wave for them to come over and then to stand and watch. The situation could have gotten out of hand had he not spring into action.

I like how the referees expend zero effort to stop the fight and actually appear to be holding other adults back from breaking it up. “Just let them fight it out. “

How is this not a penalty?????
@VideoMyLifeLLC5 жыл бұрын
No penalty was called. The play before this altercation was a fourth down by the Union Silver team, and they were sacked at the Bixby Spartan 47 yard line. After the altercation, Bixby had a first down at the same 47 yard line, going the other way. I guess the refs could have called a 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty on Union, but I wonder if a team is typically given a warning first. If I were a betting man I would say the refs didn't think about the penalty given the moment.

Guy #1: "I SHOULD'VE MADE IT TO THE NFL!!" Guy #2: "NAH YOU TRASH."
@jasonjackson56963 жыл бұрын
The white coach should be banned for life for this. This isn’t the NFL. My son at this age was playing Little League & I told the coach my son is coordinated but never played baseball. During his first practice he was placed in center & 2 fly balls went over his head. The coach mildly berated my son as I watched from a distance & made him take 2 laps about 300 yards each - for missing 2 fly balls? My son was sobbing because he had no idea why he was treated that way & I removed him from that team. I tried to place him on a different team & he wanted nothing to do with baseball ever again. Coaches at this level are to encourage, help develop skills through fundamentals & above all, make the sport fun. It’s all about the kids not the coach.

This is one reason almost every adult who works with kids has to pass a background check. These guys are doing nothing to teach any kid on their team or any team for that matter what sportsmanship is. I could care less about winning a recreation and parks football game, when I coached youth football my goal each season was to make sure each and every kid on my team was prepared to move to the next level regardless of it being a 8 year old moving to 9u or an 8th grade kid going into high school the following season. I had always coached the "B" team in my program and what was sad is we had kids coming in asking to play for me and not for the "A" division team. Things like that are a thing of the past, now everyone wants to chase that damn plastic trophy. I hope these guys got what they deserved back in 2017.
