I had a power supply started smoking on me. I bought mine at some local computer store. I think they was buying really cheap parts. Stick with name brand stuff and not some no name part.

Just don't upgrade the firmware with a third party battery you run the risk of bricking your camera. Back when people was hacking their Panasonic Lumix GH2 cameras one guy hacked his camera with a third party battery and bricked his camera. I hacked two Panasonic Lumix GH2 cameras with Panasonic name brand batteries did not have one problem.
