Update: Some people believe the red heifers have already been sacrificed, this is incorrect. The ritual involving the red heifer is described in the Book of Numbers. According to the Bible, the ashes of the red heifer must be used for a purification ritual, involving purifying water for use in the 3rd Temple. There are many, very specific requirements for the heifer, such as being completely red and without blemish, and no red heifer has yet met the specifications. The sacrifice has to take place on the Mount of Olives facing the Temple Mount, and has not as yet happened. The Israel government also has secret talks about this issue because it's news worthy.

Hi Clayton, the 9 red heifers represent all the heifers sacrificed from the time of Solomon's Temple to Herod’s Temple. In Jewish custom, you only need a tiny amount of the ash of a red heifer to cleanse a multitude of water for Temple service. So the 10th Red Heifer will be a miracle, not sacrificed for 2,000 years.

The purpose was to cleanse the water, to cleanse the priests for the work in the Temple. So whenever they ran out of the ashes of the red heifer, they need to sacrifice another one.

There are 4 Gospels and you quoted from just 1 of them a total of just 2 times. You quoted from the Old Testament 7 times. And from the Book of Revelations you quoted 8 times, by far your favorite. What you believe in has no resemblance to Jesus' ministry. You believe in a vengeful, wrathful Jesus, you resent the Gospels and abhor personal responsibility. Your ideal “second” Jesus sounds more like an “Anti-Christ” than he does the very Son of God. The altar has not yet been built. The stones were collected yes, there are currently 3 red heifers available but to do the slaughter takes a lot of planning. There are no altar for the red heifer, its done in a hollowed out ground to prevent the ashes to be blown away. It takes up to 5 tons of certain woods. For the altar to be build on the temple mount, the current mosque has to be removed, no trees and no graves. Was Jesus the last sacrifice? Question is, for what sin?

I don’t understand why we haven’t tried to rebuild the temple since the creation of our country in 1776. If that was our one true goal in life, and truth and freedom that would be interesting, should we have rebuilt the temple? Everyone’s preoccupied with nothing. If only we put those trillions of dollars we put in unnecessary and evil wars into rebuilding the temple, it would have been rebuilt by now or we would’ve learned that it could not have been rebuilt and it would’ve been nice knowing.

I can't see any scriptural evidence that Ezra or anyone else sacrificed a red heifer apart from what was spoken to Moses? I think the Bible talks about the tabernacle still being used in the end times, but not the temple well that’s what I read in the Bible, but I heard from Ron Wyatt that there would not be a third Temple, he discovered the ark of the covenant at the place of the skull which was below the crucifixion site of Jesus and he found a coin underneath a rock in a cross hole used for crucifixions, he reburied the coin in the same place.

The prophecies concerning the third Temple are in the end times. The Apostle John is told to measure the Temple, Paul says Antichrist will take it over and Jesus references this in the Abomination of Desolation prophecy.
