Ate my very first Paw Paw fruit this year, off of a tree I grew from seeds KSU gave me seven years ago. They were delicious! Thank you KSU!

Dear Dr. Pomper, RA Crabtree and Lowe, Thank you so much for taking the time to explain paw paws to us last Thursday at KSU. I learn something new everytime. I grabbed a bunch of Susquehana and Sunflower variety paw paws off the ground at your orchard and will plant them in the spring as instructed. Wow it really brings the point home when you say that some produce only 5-8% by weight of seed/fruit.......so different from the few I have found in the wild. It was a fun day for me!-Paul

I harvested my first pawpaws this year in Bulgaria, thank you so much for all the info over the years. Having grown up in the middle east and eaten plenty of custard apples, I was pleasantly treated with a fruit VERY close, almost superior, to the custard apple. I harvested susquehannah, which in my opinion has the signature custard apple/cherimoya taste albeit more bottom-heavy on the flavor notes, but with a surprising complexity with mango and pineapple near the skin. Absolutely amazing ! None of the signature grittyness that chermiyas and custard apples have, so superior texture as well ! :) Can't wait for my Wabash to start flowering in a couple of years :)

Why you need to graft Paw-Paw tree .I am growing it from seed . They are producing good. I also know seed grown live longer, healthier than the graft one.
