Me and my friend were driving around late one night and Jumper comes on. We are super into it, rockin out, and eventually it gets to the bass solo/bridge. All of a sudden my friend opens the moonroof, and stands up, sticking herself out the roof of the car. I crank it up and she is up there yelling, "I would understand!!!" Then, there's that build up and Stephen screams, "Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah!!!" At that moment when everything kicks in, it started raining in the most crazy surreal way. I felt it through the open roof and my friend is up there having the time of her life! When it was all over we literally had tears in our eyes. It was a magical moment. That's why this is one of my favorite songs ever.

I love this song because it means a lot to me. This song and a few of Sixx AM songs helped me through my rehab for drug addiction (pot, coke, meth, and some others) and now I can finally carry on with my life because I have stepped back from that ledge, and cut my ties with past friends and what not. So thank you Third Eye Blind for making this song. It really helped do to the fact that all I had was music then

this song was written after a teen age boy video taped his suicide after his parents left him at home on vacation it was when camcorders first came out and his tragic death made head lines and this bay area band "SF" decided to be a part of a solution and a positive message to stop suicide and did it in a beautiful way........thank you for such a positive impact in my life and countless others.....
@stevenan935 жыл бұрын
as positive as a comment this is, it is misinformation. the lead singer has stated numerous times that its about his gay friend who committed suicide.
@Eatmydick666 Жыл бұрын
@@stevenan93wasn’t it a dude he went to school with and was friendly with him? Not necessarily best friends but mutual friends… needless to say, nobody knows what people are going through mentally. Call them weak, call them selfish… some people can’t handle certain shit. Unfortunately they resort to suicide, but you don’t know what people go through or how they can’t cope some traumatic event or experience.

This song really hits me. I had a hard break up with a girl and regretted it, and then a week later my best friend tried to jump off a bridge into a shallow creek. I was at home sitting in regret and then I got a message from his girlfriend saying he was about to do something stupid as I was listening to this song. Heavy

I hope there are always bands that when you see them live they take turns doing solos. You just don't see that much any more. Man Tony was holding back bc I've seen him melt faces before. And Brad, damn that was pretty tight. I miss the 3eb with Tony.
