cryo minelets is more for crowd freeze than single target. you can halt entire grunt swarms and shred through them with blowthrough m1000 builds or Agressive Venting

I like using that one overclock on scouts assault rifle that deals extra damage to enemies suffering from status effects It pairs nicely with his boomerang and if ur playing solo you can make bosco’s bullets electrified so you can have status everywhere

5:11 Cryo is "weaker" on the ice biome because the icy variants of the enemies are weaker to fire, so basically flamethrower gets a free damage bonus against most bugs while Cryo stays the same as always

Ice biome enemies also freeze at a lower temperature making it harder to use a cryo weapon effectivley, this also means they thaw faster.

While the Cryo Minelets aren't really useful at all against Dreadnaughts, the other real problem in Zanny's first mission was that his Gunner teammate was using Napalm-Infused Rounds on his missile launcher. You can see the Lacerator's burning status build up after 1:28.

Zanny, use blowthrough mod on the Zhukov with cryo minelets. You shoot the bugs with it looking slightly down and they take damage and the minelets get triggered immediately when hitting the ground, only way to make them effective against bulkier enemies.

The mines still have to arm themselves (they aren’t dangerous immediately) but its still the best combo for this gun

​@@thunderstar7682 The arming time is very quick because they react to being near bugs and there's nothing closer that than right beneath the bug (I've tested this, you just need to learn to aim in a way where you don't have the minelets hit the ground behind the bug. B-hoping helps.)

You’re better off just speccing into damage/fleshy bits bonus and actually hitting those areas. These pistols do plenty of dmg to bulkier enemies, you just need positioning which shouldn’t be any issue with a scout. I personally use the stun sweeper so with conductive bullets and custom casings overclock I can quicklly burst a praetorian down in one clip. Reading your comment though it seems that you’re just giving a tip on how to make this particular mod work better, if so then ignore my comment but if not I genuinely think going for higher dmg is better

​@@ozylocz4078 Oh yeah, I was just saying how you should use this particular OC in order to be effective (for example, bullets of mercy benefits a lot from a constant supply of status effects like freeze), a properly modded out gas recycling Zhukov together with an IFG can end an entire swarm in 3 seconds tops, for example (I like using this one with electrifying reload on GK2 for easy access to 30% more damage for electrified bugs). There's many ways to make powerful builds in this game by being creative, which is one of the reasons I love it, and even if there are clearly bad builds, it doesn't mean they can't be useful or good (Fat Boy can't beat the wave clearing power of a triple line Breach Cutter, but big booms are still funnier)

Cryo minelets are amazing for high-threat enemies like infectors, menaces, etc. You can quickly freeze them and mow them down without needing to waste a freeze grenade and risk taking projectile damage. Cryo minelets are also pretty good at freezing praetorians as well, but it takes some practice to get the timing and number of shots down. You can do the same for dreadnoughts, with an ice grenade in the mix. I recommend building a cryo minelets zhukov for ammo and blow-through rounds. Enemies can soak up the bullet and prevent a minelet from spawning, so blow-through rounds in a great mod. Most of your damage should come from your primary with frozen debuff, so ammo is very useful for this. In a pinch, the zhukov can still deal some good dps by itself if needed.

Cryo minelets is my favorite overclock for the Zhukov. Fun as hell and can halt a tong of bugs instantly. I like to shoot directly under me when a hord is chasing me so i can basically use them as a trap and give myself some space to hit them with another weapon.

slipper meta > belt meta you have range and melee capabilities lower damage and the trauma passive is lower than the belt but overall its more well rounded plus ease of use is a pretty big plus unisex is also a good bonus as not all moms and even fathers have a belt ready

hey zanny hope u see this, the reason hover boots aren’t as good on scout is because of hover clock as you can use a hoverclock charged shot to cancel all fall damage and then cancel the shot. whereas instant res and self res are better cause u can save ur entire team

Blowthrough rounds makes cryo minelets so much better. If you aim down a bit at the enemies in front of a swarm, you can damage / kill them _and_ freeze the enemies behind them with those same bullets! It also makes freezing pretorians much easier, since you can do the same thing to their head, then the bullets will become minelets that freeze their body. Don't feel you need your teammates to kill after the freezing either, just whip out your primary and take advantage of the huge frozen dmg bonus yourself (or if it's a really big swarm, you can even just kill them with the zhukovs the same way, and continue to freeze the rest of the wave) 👍

Crowd control builds will generally be utilized more at higher haz levels, as that's where the hordes get big enough for them to be used to full affect. Also, you should be ready for haz 4 now
